The listing, INCREDIBLE ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER PURSE/HANDBAG NEAR PERFECT CONDITION AND OVER 100 YEARS OLD!! has ended.

This incredible piece is over one hundred years old and is in near perfect condition! There is a small tear near the frame that any competent jeweler can fix in a jif! It has a floral pattern on one side and all four hanging beads on the bottom. It is marked sterling on the frame.
I have been collecting these purses for years, and I'm trying to make more space in my closet, so I decided to part with a few. They really are lovely and the sterling mesh feels surprisingly soft.

It weighs 176 grams, which is almost 6 and a quarter ounces! It is 5 1/2" long by 5 3/4" wide.

It is something to be treasured and I hope it finds a good home.

Thanks! I know I should probably GIN it, but I want to give everyone a shot at this. These bags are crazy cool, and I like to think of those Victorian women calling on each other with their bags full of "calling cards". Did you know there was a code? Because there were no phones, peiople would go from house to house to talk to each other. If the other person wasn't home, they would fold down a certain corner to indicate whether they were going to come back, or a different6 corner to indicate the other person should call on them. It's fascinating!

Yes it is fascinating, they also had quality and beautiful items back them. I am SURE the purse shows that. I love items with a history, those are my favorites. There is always a cool story to something of the past. And honestly it is so hard to find good quality items now a days. We could learn a lot from out past :) simply gorgeous this will go well. :D
