Description

The listing, UNIQUE Nine Patch in a Square PIECED QUILT Vintage Cotton 1930s–40s Fabrics has ended.

Up for auction is this stunning pieced cotton quilt made from vintage fabrics! I just love it, but cannot keep one more quilt! I picked this up at a charity event, and am delighted to offer it here!

Pattern is Nine Patch in a Square (that's what I've seen it called). Outer square is done in two different paisley prints. The nine patch always has the 4 yellow patterned squares, and the blue stripe middle. The other parts of the nine patch are either a snowflake pattern, blue floral or roses. Just really interesting arrangements of prints!

Whether using on a bed, or as a table cover, you will get many compliments on this one! Very clean, and I saw no holes. It is tied, but ties really blend in the busy front pieces, and could be removed and it could be quilted, if desired.

And there is no show-through of the underneath print on the back (princess, knights, prince, etc). It photographs a bit hat way, but you do not see it in reality! And that pattern covers the entire back.

Because seams are so straight, I assume it is machine pieced. Edge is done by hand. Measures 75-1/2" x 86". I think it's just charming, and hope you do too!

I'm sure it's one of a kind! This will cost me almost $20 to ship, plus what I paid for it, plus Listia fees, which is why credits are what they are. So please don't ask me to lower.

Smoke-free home.

Do you think this will fit a Queen size bed? I took the measurements and it seems like it might, but just want your opinion, as you can see the size of it. Thank you

Oh gee, I don't know how to answer that except to use the dimensions given. I don't have a queen size bed, and it would probably depend on if you wanted to use it as a bedspread or just a quilt? Bedspreads cover more area than a quilt (to my way of thinking). Sorry I can't be of more help! Maybe measure one of your queen size sheets and see how these measurements are in comparison?

That's a good idea, I can actually just measure the quilt that is on my bed now to see what the dimensions are - thanks, watching and fanned.
