Awesome auction! I 'm going to tell you something crazy,... I joined listia in 2012, so I'm more than 5 years in. But for the first several years I was listing and buying like crazy,..... was soooo good. Last amazon gc that I bought from listia was like 25,000 credits for a $25 gc!! I came back on, not to long ago - not even realizing that the credit price and $$ price had went sky high here. I listed a bunch of VS Heavenly and makeup items for a itsy starting bid and a lady offered me 45,000 credits for it all and I was thinking,... dang that is pretty good. I put the GIN on - then,.... I went to use the credits and I realized that I could barely buy a Secret Deoderant on here for 45,000 credits. I was so bummed. I remember the listia 5 years ago - 4 years,... 3 years,... was much better back then. Sorry so long, lol,....

Thank you, sweetie!! Oh, I know exactly what you mean about the inflation rate around here. I too, joined Listia in 2012, March to be exact. Yes, gift cards sold for 1,000 credits per dollar!! Wow!! I was listing $50 gift cards for 50,000 credits. Just under a year ago, gift cardd were going for 10,000 credits per dollar & $ 50 cards were going for 500k to 555k. Look at them now, $50 cards are going for 5 million plus, thats 100,000 per dollar. It definitely isn't what it used to be. It's not just the credit ratio either, some of the people we've gotten on here can be extremely rude. Not to mention all the scammers!! I hate to charge some of these prices, but in order to buy anything I want in return, I have to list accordingly. I was doing multiple stuffed boxes with $300 to $500 in high-end makeup, etc., right before last Christmas & they were only going for 1.5 to 2 million. Granted, I was being over generous with my packages. I found out real quick that I couldn't even get 1 nice palette in return. Anyway!! I could go on for days!!

Things are a real mess!! This being able to bid crap, when you don't have the credits to cover it is for the birds. Us sellers aren't banks or loan companies!! If that's the way it's going to be, let Listia give us our credits & then they can fight with the buyer that doesn't have the credits. IDK!!
