Sorry, it's kind of common knowledge, I thought you'd understand, my bad. You could google or wikipedia this but for our purposes I'll try to explain what little I know.
I was asking if it is .925 pure sterling silver, which is usually stamped with either SS or .925 somewhere on the back or clasp of a real silver piece. So .925 would be 92.5% solid Sterling silver and the remaining metals in the piece being metals like say copper, zinc, etc. A similar method is used for gold, where it might be stamped 10K or 14K or 18K meaning K=Karat, for the purity of the gold, of which 24K is the highest purity rank of gold. I'm sorry if my explanation here isn't 100% accurate, it's probably closer to 18K accurate instead. :P
I am not a jewelry person part of the reason I am getting rid of these so for me it's not common knowledge. But thank you for explaining. Yes it is .925.
