What is it?

It's a houseplant. When it flowers, the flowers look similar to goldfish, hence the name goldfish plant :).

Do you just pop the cuttings into soil or do they like a glass of water first? Thanks. This is a very cool plant!

Root in a perlite and well draining soil. Mist often. It takes about a month to root them.

I have some of these and the flowers are awesome - just like goldfish. You should add a photo of a flower to your post so people can see how cool they are. It would help with bids!

How do they take root in water or a pot of soil and about how long would it take

I have heard you can root them in either water or soil but prefer the soil method because plants rooted in water tend to be more fragile. For soil, use a very porous soil so that water runs through it freely. Water frequently and mist. It usually takes about a month for these to start growing a good root system.

How will they be sent.? Bubbler?
Aug 16th, 2017 at 5:06:29 PM PDT by
Original
NOT in a bubbler. Small box, ends wrapped in moist paper towel and then wrapped in plastic the stems will be wrapped in tissue paper. There is too much chance of the plant starts getting squished in a bubbler
