AnfJock is correct...there were no CC minted Morgans in 1888. For further reference and lots of info on any coin go to coinstudy.com they will give you a great rundown on any coin.

Is it a CC mint? From the picture it's a CC coin valued in the thousands $,$$$+

Yeah it does have a CC on it. I guess that means its a CC mint, as far as it being worth thousands of dollars, I'm really not sure where your getting that information from. What I know about this coin is very little. I got it at a state aution a few years ago. Never done any research. I've just seen alot of coins on here like it and decided to put it up for aution. If you have any more questions I'll be happy to do my best to answer them. Thanks for your interest in my item. Have a nice day.

After research it's actually a fake cc since Carson city did not make any silver dollars between 1885-1889 making it a counterfeit

WOW, it went from being worth thousands of dollars to being a fake. Are you sure about this one? I'm not out to get anyone. If they win this aution and decide they don't want it I'll be happy to give a refund. It's free shipping so they'll be out nothing. I don't know enough about it to argue it's authenticity. However, I can guarantee the refund of credit.

I'm quite embarrassed that I didn't see the obvious.I just didn't have the knowledge I guess. Thanks for the information. I appreciate it.

Nicely handled! There are plenty of fakes on sale here, most of them knowingly, so there's nothing to be embarassed about, Many sellers get defensive and start deleting comments and blocking people, it's nice to find someone honest.
