Oh boy, that is the last thing you should do, unless you bought it from a Jeweler. Most of the stuff, say on Ebay, or from China/Korea, must be tested. They are not held to the laws the US is. They can stamp anything they want with 925. I bought a simple Metals Testing Kit on Ebay for around 25.00. It comes with all the directions. Do a search for Metals Testing Kit. It is well worth your dollars. Mine even came with a diamond tester. If you see ITALY and 925, you can almost be sure it is genuine. China makes some very fine jewelry, however, if you get a sterling silver ring for $4.99, it is not solid Sterling :)

If you have any other questions, please, just ask :)

I only do very few Sterling items on here. It is stamped but untested per your recommendation, so ill update that in the description. Im always transparent. I didn't acquire it off eBay, etc. But will consider for future.

Have you actually tested these? Also, if you were to display them against a white background they would be easier to see. Just a helpful hint :)

Thanks for your hint. How do you test for Sterling? I've not, I rely on stamp markings.
