Everyone on Listia has "given away" items. Auctions are always taking a risk because Listia requires you to send the item out safely to arrive to the winner regardless of the amount of the winning bid. When you list an item the last thing you agree to before it is live, is to agree to send it no matter what you get for it. Auctions are gambles because you have no idea how much it will end with. So the more information you give the better the chance people will trust that you will fulfill the obligation and send the item not wasting their time and credits kept in a pending state. You do not receive the credits until the winner marks off "received".

"only" $60 might be nothing to you but many on here have very limited budgets. Full descriptions provide better understandings between buyers/sellers. Communication is vital for success on Listia. Best wishes for your success and size makes a big difference in who bids. Don't you want as many bidders as possible so the credits go high??

It depends on who sees it in time. I have seen some go sky high over imitation items and low on real as well as go high for expensive . Best to put g-i-n on items that are expensive or start your bids high.

Just won an auction, from a first timer, liked the ring, had my a feeling that it wouldn't work out,but gave them the chance, have had no response from them, they haven't even logged on,for awhile, had to ask listia for my credits back! Big waste of time, and holding credits up!

If I had items that cost that much, I would be more likely to sell them on ebay or another site like that. You can convert your credits to cash, however, it will be a good while before you are given that option. Also, one can only sell credits for 1 million at a time. It takes 30-45 days to sell. Listia keeps 20% of the credit sale price. Now you can see why ebay might be a better choice. you can set the price you want. You may well get 5 million credits for this ring, but you cannot convert those to cash in hand. You can spend it on things you might want on here. Take your other rings someplace else..just my opinion.

But a ring like this should bring in high bidders as long as they believe you are serious and trustworthy to send item as described. Give it a chance. You might be very pleased in the end ;D

There are some people who are just out to scam people. That just happened to me with a Michael Kors watch. I had A feeling it was going to happen, but I wanted to be nice and give them the benefit of the doubt. You have some amazing pieces listed. And like marlie said, if you give as much info as possible, and try to take close, clear photos, a lot of people will likely bid and bid high :)

submit a ticket and get your credits back. If you paid for shipping , you can do that as well. ALWAYS check their feedback. There are a few bad ones there as well but , you have a better chance with good feedback from the sellers
