This auction is for an Exceptionally Special 2014 American Silver Eagle.
This coin has had a light Gild of 24Karat Gold added to both the Obverse and Reverse sides of it, creating the 2 tone effect.
It comes in the Mint Packaging that is offered for a Proof American Silver Eagle. Any scratches or defects that look as though they are on this coin, it is actually on the Plastic Capsule.
Like all American Silver Eagles, this coin is 1 ounce of .9993 Fine Silver, and since I never remove coins from original packaging, I can not tell you how much weight in Gold was added, but I am sure that it is very minimal.
I was very surprised when I first examined this coin that it was not a Proof American Eagle. The mirror finish says Proof, but the lack of the "W" or "S" mint mark states otherwise.
This coin is easily TPGS worthy, but I am unsure how well the Gilding will be accepted when graded.
This coin is very unique and one that you will be hard pressed to ever find again.
