These are known as COMMEMORATIVE *COINS & are of no "cash value" but
meant to be collectible / commemorative souvenirs nevertheless.
These are also not to be mistaken for "Medals" - military or otherwise.

Towns or places of tourist interest the world over are known to issue such souvenirs.
Some provide 'more information' than this one though; others, bot even this much.
A similar coin depicting Eiffel Tower" / "Taj Mahal" / Pyramids or "Statue of Liberty" may
not need any inscription at all although location & date when they were built can be there
