The listing, Give us this day our daily bread Bowl has ended.
Vintage silver dish/ tray. Beautiful embossed art work and lettering. Did some research and the retail price at Belk is $ 50. The metal content is listed as silver/pol. Seen a similar one listed as pewter (but this one does not have the dull look of pewter). It's very shiny and just needs a little tlc to sparkle :)
Funny thing is that it does not attract to a powerful magnet which is the test used to confirm an item is sterling! I doubt its sterling because it would have darkened and oxidized through exposure over time. I would say it's a good metal (and most likely nickel free) since it does not attract to the magnet test i just did on it :). It does have a hallmark and Taiwan. Clean it up a bit and it will sparkle more than sterling, lol! Good luck if you decide to get it - its a beautiful piece!!
I did not buy it new but picked it up as an interesting piece from a flea market. sorry I don't remember where or when i bought it. For sure, not in the past 5 years. It definitely feels vintage to me and since it is stamped, it sets it apart from the newer pieces.
You're welcome. Good luck if you decide to get it :) It will look great on the dinner table and a reminder to be thankful and grateful for all our bounties.
