Description

The listing, Living Moss, Fairy Garden, Terrarium, Bonsai...TONS OF PHOTOS! has ended.

These moss and lichen are native to USDA zone 7b for outside gardening (very cold hearty) and, of course, great for inside terrarium growing in any zone!

Hand-gathered vibrant live moss and lichens! Will come with roots (rhizoids) & a bit of soil attached with FREE SHIPPING. Winner will receive a container approximately 9"x6"x2" stuffed.

Be sure to click the "VIEW LARGER" button for lots of closeups with great details!

Super for terrariums, vivariums, flower or decorative arrangements, bonsai or anything else your imagination comes up with...although not suitable for underwater in aquariums.

Procured by hand from my wooded property in Virginia. Carefully packaged and shipped. Not every batch will be the same, but each will include a variety of different items of high quality as illustrated in the many photos. I also include an info sheet on planting and care.

I groom the mosses by cleaning up leaves, sticks, small stones, etc. before packing so what you receive is ready to plant. On top of the delicate pieces, I place extra reindeer moss (which is very light and cushy) to protect the lower layers.

Comments from previous winners:

“WOW! These are amazing. Arrived safe and sound and will make many arrangements look exquisite!"

"A spectacular array of different mosses and lichens!!!
Shipped fast and securely and well worth every credit I bid."

“Really wonderful! The pieces you sent me are stunning and vibrant. Anyone should just love these! Beautiful as always!”

All Listia rules apply.

Please note that I work full time and generally collect the moss & lichen on the weekends and mail on Mondays. Depending on when you GIN and when you update your shipping address, it's possible that you may have to wait over 7 days until the following Monday for me to ship. I will not collect the moss until I have a mailing address.

As listed above: Winner will receive a container approximately 9"x6"x2" stuffed. The second photo shows an example of a container's contents on the left side of the photo and the reindeer lichen that's layered over it on the right side of the photo. You get a container full of moss and lichen plus a second layer of reindeer lichen on top to help cushion the bottom layer. As for the number of varieties, that varies depending on what's out there when I go to gather. Generally there is always some of the red british soldiers lichen, reindeer lichen, cushion moss, pixie cups lichen, powderhorn lichen, haircap moss, mood moss and peg lichen...so I'd say you'd most likely end up with at least a half dozen different varieties at the minimum. If you'd like to send me your email address in a private message, I will send you a pdf that identifies the types that are usually included in a collection. I have never had anyone complain about their collection and I've been doing this for a number of years now. I'm very fortunate in the variety of moss and lichen available on my property. Thanks for your interest!

No questions are dumb. I include some planting tips along with the collection. They are no harder to plant than anything else, in fact they are somewhat easier to me!
