Questions & Comments
Hi! I’m new to coin collecting and recently acquired a 1879 Morgan dollar and wanted to get it graded by Anacs to ensure its authenticity and noticed you had this coin graded by them... my question is was is the difference between verification and research? I know we’re all super busy and hate asking but Your time and advice is much appreciated!!
@dalmassoapts hi this coin is graded by PCGS one of the top grading company if I where you I won’t send it In the 1879 to get it graded unless it’s in BU MInt State condition also ANACS is a joke now I heard from lots of collectors that they rip you off take more then 6 mounts and give out bad grades the best you can trust is PCGS and NGC it’s a little expansive but worth it if you’ll like to know if your Morgan is authentic check with magnet if it doesn’t stick it pass the first one second check the wight if it’s at 26.73 grams then it’s real 3d compare it with a real one online all matches then it’s real hope this helps :)
