Lapis Lazuli is one of the most sought after stones in use since man's history began. Its deep, celestial blue remains the symbol of royalty and honor, gods and power, spirit and vision. It is a universal symbol of wisdom and truth.

In ancient times Lapis Lazuli was most highly regarded because of its beautiful color and the valuable ultramarine dye derived from it. Its name comes from the Latin lapis, "stone," and the Persian lazhuward, "blue." It is rock formed by multiple minerals, mostly Lazurite, Sodalite, Calcite and Pyrite, and is a rich medium to royal blue with gold flecks (pyrites). Lower-grade Lapis is lighter blue with more white than gold flecks, and is sometimes called denim Lapis.

Physically, Lapis Lazuli helps with the immune system, thyroid, and nervous system. It can alleviate headaches, migraines, fevers, and pain.

Hey Lady!! Thank you my friend. I need to take a better picture, this pic really does not do it any justice. It's a lil darker- almost a deep rich cobalt blue, a gorgeous shade.. with a million tiny flecks of gold pyrite scattered throughout. Top grade Lapis. You can't even see the pyrite specks in this lame photo lol.

Are you ready for the Holidays? I'm almost done shopping, but I'll prob keep buying things for the kids til Christmas Eve or until my money runs out, haha. :)

I just refinanced my mortgage with a lower interest rate last month thru the HARP program, so I get to skip a month's mortgage payment this month. Thank goodness! I just wish I had done it years ago, it'll save me $140 a month. But it couldn't have come at a better time.. don't know what I woulda done otherwise. But just as you mentioned- we find a way to get it done. It's hard as a single mom, I wouldn't have been able to buy half of the stuff I've bought for Christmas had I not refinanced. Told the kids next year won't be so big, but while I am able.. I want to make it a great Christmas for them. They are so deserving. The past years' Christmases were modest, but I did my best through the year to buy things all year long- saving them for Christmas. I feel so blessed because they don't ask for a thing.. they make it so easy for me. I know you have great kids too.. we've talked about it before. You just want to give them the world.. :)

I know what you mean...you want to give them everything. We would do what we could too & it's harder the older they get because the gifts get more & more expensive. Glad mine are older. I can get away with a small gift to open, stockings & gift cards or money so they can get what they really want. Your a great MOM & your kids are lucky to have you. Your kids are great too. And I know they appreciate everything you do & they love everything that you do give them.

Thank you sweet Lady for those kind things you said about the kids and I.. you know how much I adore them. And I know that you are an equally great MOM, we've been over this before. We are just so lucky in today's world, to be able to say that we've been blessed with such awesome children. I hear horror stories from friends that I grew up with about their own kids. And Bella tells me awful stories about some of the kids in her grade.. about how dysfunctional their families are and how disconnected they are from their parents.. and how some families don't even like each other or talk to each other much. Some parents don't spend any time with their kids.. they are so busy with their own social life and just being wrapped up in themselves. It is so sad, just a shame. They don't know the joy they are missing. So grateful that my lil family is so close and loving. Gosh, I can't get enough of my kids.. they are my favorite people and we have a ball together.
