The date actually appears to read July 11 1945, dating it to before the end of World War 2. It was a tugboat operating in Pearl Harbor at the time. It probably escorted the Artist’s vessel in or out of the harbor. Pretty cool. I wonder if this would qualify as trench art, even though it wasn’t at the front with the action

We've had this close to 5 Year's, picked it up at a thrift store near the Harbour in San Francisco,Ca.
