I send my helper and he uses that video gadget on his phone so I can see everything, as if I was there myself!!!!
My helper lost his job and when the VA came to pick me up one day for a doctors apptment, I saw my helper and his wife and their three children under a bridge. It crippled my heart!!! But I let it go and when I got home from the doctors apptment. it was eating me up inside that this family was living under a bridge. I have everything I could ever want. So I had my neighbor load me up in his van and I went down to the same area that night and low and behold, they were there. I had my neighbor load them all up and took them to a motel, long story short, I now have a meaning in my life. I tried giving them money but he said he wanted to work, so I remembered that I joined this site in January for some odd reason. My account sat ideal until 90 days ago, I found this guy a new job & in turn, we created a new life for his family and my isolated loneliness.
There it is in a nut shell!!!!
Here I am!!!!
They now have their own place and I dont have to worry about dying alone!!!!

lol, you made me laugh so hard, but laughter keeps me breathing for another day!!!!
I guess you could say I am a bit popular. Yes you could hang these on the tree and yes they would make very surprising gift boxes. I have too many of these. I am a hoarder. So I went through all of my little felt sequin boxes and here happens to be three of them!!!!!
I have kept the ones that were made in 1910 to 1920's though!!!!

I do the HO HO HO to the T, they laugh and giggle so well. Even though they are not mine, their hugging embrace is truly genuine and their feelings shine through their little smiles that they are no longer afraid to expose!!!!

How old are they? You must be excited to have Christmas with them! I miss having kids at Christmas. Mine are 24 and 26 years old and I don’t expect grandchildren any time soon. Both of my girls are doing great tho. I’m perfectly happy with that!

My helper and his wife are in their mid 20's.. there three kids range from 7 years old to 10. They are a hand full.
I did invite them to the beach for Christmas.
It's the first time in a long time that I have had the joy to buy gifts for someone else. You know this site is like that as well.
Well just recently, I auctioned off a Keurig and 110.00 in Dunkin Donuts gift cards. that right there seemed like a real treat for me, the auction itself was worth almost 250.00. I didn't mind though, the point is, it made someones life better and everyone had smiles and joy!!!!!!

Well as long as you are happy!!!!! that is great!!!!

I cant wait for them to open all their gifts.
I bought my helper and his wife a bunch of things they can use for their new apartment.

So I will probably have the best Christmas ever!!!!!!
If this is my last Christmas, I will be okay with that!!!!!
At least I went out in style, doing something for someone else instead of doing nothing at all.....................................................

If your helper is doing most of your listing and shipping, you might encourage him/her to get involved with ebay.

When my husband lost his job, must've been about 2002, I interviewed for a couple of jobs (Former corporate writer editor but then was a stay-home mom, kids were in elementary school) and it was SUCH a bust .. low pay, long hours, not for me. We weren't THAT desperate yet.

So, since I had the auction house less than two miles from my home, I decided to sell on ebay. It took a while but within about a year I was making several thousand dollars a month selling antiques and collectibles. It is VERY challenging to buy low enough to sell on ebay ~ I did that by researching all the stuff at the auction in advance, to see what similar items actually SOLD for on ebay (not asking prices) and I was able to work days when the kids were at school and really make a decent living with it.

Then we moved to Iowa. Ebay had made a lot of changes that I didn't like and we didn't need the money any more, so I stopped selling on ebay (and found Listia about a year later, when it was fairly new).

I have always been proud of the fact that I found a way to be totally independent and self employed without losing my shirt (like a lot of people do on ebay).

So, the point I'm making is that your helper and his wife might be able to do that same thing ... hopefully one of them has a decent job, but the other, in addition to helping you, could set up on ebay.

GREAT photos, descriptions and customer service is the key.

The MOST important thing to remember is that you make your money when you BUY ... it might be a fun project to help them with.

Maybe I'm thinkin' too much ...
