I haven't been since I was a kid but I remember it so vividly. We walked the rope bridges over the stinky sulphur pools. It was probably dangerous but we didn't know it! I remember waiting for Old Faithful..so great! I remember dad saying"whoever sees a bear gets a nickel". I remember getting mad at my sister cuz she saw an elk and got a dime! We bought Bologna and bread for lunch and had a "picnic". We were poor but didn't know it. 6 of us kids. Anyway, this treasure chest would've been sitting on the shelf in a gift shop and there is no way we could have afforded it! But fun to wish for! Lol. Memories!!!

Yes memories are great & some very bad. I like your reply in being so detailed of the priceless moments you had. Especially the money parts. I was lucky as a kid to travel many states. But at that age its not so special then. Just only fun. Have a safe holiday & I'll keep this item in mind.

Hello, AWESOME little chest box. I just wanted to add a helpers note on your auction & hope I do not step on your toes....? If I have please accept my apologies.
Most of these wooden boxes very true made out of unique wood, but usually light weight wood, especially the bigger the chest is, but 99.9% are made from Cedar wood which gives is the reddish coloring then if they used a special stain to enhance the beauty of the color before several coats of varnish. Second is Pine wood because it is much lighter wood, softer. But, I bet this AWESOME wooden chest box is made from Cedar. Either way, will be watching & hope to compete in bidding. Hope today if you celebrate CHRIST-mas that it was a fun full-filled joyous day with family & friends making lots of MEMORIES. Not to preach, but make lots of MEMORIES if you have not started to because tomorrow is not promised to us, so let all people in your life.....let them know you love them very much. May God's Blessings be surrounded to you & all your loved ones..! MERRY CHRISTMAS.....!
