Yes, you could answer and talk on the phone while driving as long as it’s bluetooth connected to your phone. However, this is really meant for working out or daily use for listening to music. I’m not sure how good the mic is. It will work though! Great question!

What kind of battery or way of charging is there

I'm not sure what kind of battery, they are within the earbuds. You charge it with a mini USB to USB chord that is included. Same way you charge a mobile phone.
