Up for bids is a used George Washington 2 Cent – Scott 599a Type II stamp. Please see the picture as that is part og the description and the exact same stamp you will receive.

The 599A Type II coil stamp is not an uncommon variety. It is highly publicized and illustrated in most catalogs, and with patience most people will find one with some patience and persistence.

Because this is a plate variety, all stamps on the same plate do have the variety.

599A is Type II variety (worth $17.60 used and $133.45 Mint Value) as of 2010 catalog prices.

If you are to sell this stamp as a type 2 you must find a way to put a clearer picture . We can only assume it’s a type 1 at this point , your Jenny stamp that’s up for bid is a very clear picture , can you not do the same . I’m sure bids will start rolling in when all can see the better pic :-).

I tried, my equipment could only do so much. I bought it as a Type II from the dealer on eBay - but I understand - he could have lied to me too.

The Jenny stamp is very "Clean" and even though it's used it's "White" - it was easier to get clearer. This stamp was older and dirtier. Sorry about the pics.

Hi there ! Didn’t want to come on strong with my comment, my apologies , but to be honest I would of bid seeing at least 1 of the 3 marks that make it a type 2 . But too much blare to look up such details , don’t worry bids will come in the last minute, all George Washington stamps are good to have , they are fascinating to stamp collectors in many ways , so folks bid on .
