the $50 bill is a star note which also will be printed if the original bill with the serial number on it was turned into or turned in by the bank as a torn and/or mutilated bill.
it is collectable and worth more than $50.
good luck keeping it on here because of the date. I agree that it should stay.

I see you have a lot of knowledge, Listia rules mention star notes all eligible to be sold on Listia, I have written to Listia and they said to make sure to mention it is collectible on the listing and it should not be taken down. Yes the date lets some believe it is not a collectible and have flagged this listing in the past. It is close to the end of the listing it looks like it make go to completion, finally, :-)

This is a real $50 Bill, since it has a star in the serial number that denotes it is a limited printed bill used to replace one that did not print properly. I had to emphasize collectible currency because I have listed this item twice and twice it was flagged and removed. It is allowed to be sold on Listia since it is collectible, I am hoping this auction will go to the end without being removed. Short answer this is a real , and spendable $50 bill.
