Measures approx. 8 1/2in. x 5 1/2in. Approx. 139 pages. Copyright 1986. This book covers ancient lore, stories, legends of the Native American teachings of some animals sacred to Native American cultures and tribes. It is a beautiful well written book that holds true the Native American culture. If not used as a meditation book, it is well worth the read for the stories and the culture of some of the Animals held sacred to the Native Americans.
As stated this is a older, used book... it is still in good shape, readable, and the binding is still in tact and there are no loose or missing pages.
The 2nd book of this lot is the Cherokee Sacred Calendar... a Handbook of the Ancient Native American Tradition. This is the Cherokee Astrology.
Measures approx. 9 in. x 6in. Approx. 141 pages. Copyright 2000... this is the one book out of the 2 that is in rough shape. It is however, still readable, binding still in tact, no loose or missing pages.
Although it is an older book and the Astrology years only go up to 2012 there are instructions that are easy enough to follow, to find the animal totem for that time. This book will let you know which Animal rules your day of birth and the number that influences it.
If nothing else the lore, ancient tradition and wisdom found in this book concerning the Cherokee Astrology is well worth just reading.
