Description

The listing, Estate Find with 14k Gold Pink Stone Bangle Wide Chunky Unique has ended.

This came from estate and is in its original box, wide chunky bangle. My presidium tester does not test "stones" it tests gems. But it looks like a rubellite tourmaline stone. I can not test that for sure, also the black part is some sort of plastic, resin or Bakelite, which I also can not test. The 14k has been tested and is in fact 14k. Info on bangle is as follows:

Gram weight: 47.7.
Measurements: 5.5 inches inside diameter
Stone Type: Polished Pink Stoner
Hallmarked 14K China.
This is not 10k or 18k.

Thank you, it is unusual as in I have never got anything like it before or seen anything like it. So I had to win, but it was not easy others wanted it too and I had to beat them lol :)

lol it use to take me months to save up for the gold on here. Started 2 years ago, and remember doing the games, surveys etc to try and get the points for it, but it took so long. Then I started listing stuff, and it still took awhile, but not as long. I learned the hard way listing gift cards is the fastest way to get points on here.

I know right! I don't do gift cards but always rotating my jewelry in out! Most I ever accumulated was 5 million plus. It's rare that I see a listing I like for more than a million or two. I always comment tho because even if I don't have it now, doesn't mean I won't have it later. I want to keep those unique pieces coming!

Awww Thanks, Im still trying to get my stuff out and unpacked, going through my packed stuff came to this and some jade pieces. But I really need to unpack my program for professional pics. Which makes complete white background, many sites only want that, and I get more compliments on the pics when it is like it. Pics are not so great with out it, see the shade on the second pic of the bracelet? That is not allowed and unacceptable on many sites, and they will flat out tell you we only accept professional pics, meaning all white no shades. I had a program from when I did photography and web/HTML design years ago way beyond nursing, lol...but still have to come across it and unpack it!. Thank you so much for commenting, it truly means a lot to me... :)

Ok I googled to see if you can use something other then 409 and found on the spruce "Scrubbing Bubbles was once the standard cleaner to use for Bakelite testing, but Formula 409 is now recommended instead. To use, dampen a cotton swab with 409 and rub it gently on the inside of the item being tested. If it is Bakelite, the swab will turn yellow.
If a piece is lacquered, it may test negative with 409. Black Bakelite pieces often fail this test as well." I t said black pieces often fail the test, and I am not going to burn it like dome of the others tests lol. Here is the link

You can do a test for bakelite...spray a tiny bit of 409 on a Qtip....rub the Qtip in a inconspicuous area...if it's real bakelite, the Qtip will turn a yellowish color, if it doesnt, chances are it cellulite, or lucite plastic...still desired, but not as collected as bakelite...great auction...good luck.

Does it have to be 409? I have other cleaners but not 409, and with over 2 feet of snow out don't see we going to the store until it melts back some lol. Thanks so much for the tip, if you can use another cleaner please let me know I will try it, otherwise I will pick up 409 next time Im at the store :)

Give it a try...the reason black sometimes fails is...it doesn't build up a patena like other colors...but I've had black work...especially if it hasn't been wore alot...just do it on the inside somewhere...I don't know about burning it...I've tried that method too...I've will smell like burnt hair or fingernails if it's bakelite....and you can send some of your snow to Virginia. ..I've tell take it...and look we've gotten this year are 1" to 2" at a time...I've told like to see 2 feet!

lol you can have ll the snow. Yes I dont want to burn anything but I will try the 409 next time I get out to the store... roads are not real great right now, however, I did see they got the salt trucks out this morning, which is good. Michigan is known for its rusty cars lol from always having to salt the roads. Where I am we get lake affects right next to lake Michigan, but I have lived in the UP before near Canada, and we have actually been snowed in before up there for almost a week!! Open the door and you see all white, ugg...its a good thing I did a lot of canning that year :D
