I finally got Listia to PUBLISH useable information. Credits will convert 3,850 credit = 1 ink. This is with ink valued at 14 cents and credits valued at 27,500=$1.

Here are the basic facts:

✓ Feb. 28 we will have the CHOICE to convert credits to INK. 3,850 credits will BUY you 1 INK. Ink is currently priced at 14 cents ($.14)
✓ If you do NOT convert your credits, you can spend them on LIstia until they are gone, but all FUTURE transaction will be in INK.
✓ INK is a new crypto-currency that will fluctuate in value. If you convert your credits, and the value goes up, you will make REAL MONEY. If it goes down ... well, you get the idea. Like any other crypto, INK *will* fluctuate in value. Possibly a LOT in the early days/months ...
You can continue to use your INK on Listia, just the same as credits. BUT you will OWN your INK and you also can cash it out (for example to pay for shipping expenses), spend it on LIstia, or hold it to see if it goes up in value. I DO NOT know how “cashing out” INK will work. It will involve FEES. I hope Listia can explain that SOON.

In the future, Listia plans to make INK available to purchase items on OTHER web sites. I do NOT know if this will include the "big guns" such as Amazon or Ebay. 

So far, Listia has mentioned craigslist, offerup, LetGO and similar selling web sites/apps. DETAILS are NOT known …Those announcements will come from Listia in the future.

➜ SAVE some of your INK and ~I believe~ you will be able to spend your INK on Listia when you need a new phone, computer, small appliance or maybe even a refrigerator!

Why? Because with INK, it is *worth it* for trusted sellers to list nicer, higher-value items. I think INK will draw many GOOD sellers who sell as a career in other places like eBay and Amazon.

I suggest you convert all your credits to INK Feb. 28. Rip off the bandaid. Fire up the calculator on your computer, phone or iPad …

The HUGE benefit is that, unlike credits, the value is tied to a currency that trades on the open market. INK (which will trade as XNK) has a lot of interest and my guess is that it will increase in value, possibly a LOT, in the opening days and months.

Here on Listia,
➜ you don't have to worry about what is going on with INK on the exchanges.
➜ YOUR credits will convert at the SAME OPENING price "for the duration of the conversion."

You don't have to rush. Even if INK is trading for MORE outside of Listia, your "price" in credits will stay the same ... for how long, I do not know.
