Description

The listing, FOLK ART FLOWER GARDEN ART....PRIMITIVE has ended.

My daughter and I make these flowers, it is something we enjoy doing, so I thought I would share one with you guys! The flower is aluminum, and is mounted on an oooold piece of wood lap house siding that has been painted bright pink. It has been distressed, and antiqued for a warm rich effect. The center of the flower holds a large button with the word "hope" in the middle. My pieces are very rough and primitive for a cottage or shabby look. So if you like things that are a bit on the quirky side, then this is for you!, This piece will come signed and have a wire hanger on the back. measurements....8" length, by 5" wide. This does not count the flower petals that are wider than the board!thanks guys!!

Yes! I use these pieces outside, and the ladies that buy these here in my town, hang them on the porch or on their sheds! I put lots of varnish. If I were you tho, I would add another coat each season just to keep it water proof.

Yes, the collage is so Elijah/Deb, lol maybe you could take a professional picture of it, and send it to me?! Or paint one, exactly like it? Haha That would be a copyright infringement?!

Original
Yeah, and when I go to the big house for copyright infringement, I am sure I can count on you and Dawn to visit on a regular basis, and at least sneak in my acrylics....lol!!!

As I have already told you a million? times, I love your work. Knowing this piece is ending soon, I must tell you, the feeling of "anticipation?" or hope! waiting to see( if you please keep listing!!) the next piece of your work. I believe I have seen each new piece come up, and it is always a surprise. There is not one, I have not truly liked or loved:) Your art is always unique, whimsical, moving it just touches me and of course each is a one-of-a-kind, as all the Artist's works I have seen who visit your listings. In reality, there is so much beauty in the world and so much that is just incredibly terrible & awful. That is why hope is so important. I needed to hear your comment, Rhonda, I truly did. And Thank You. "What is life without goals." Sometimes it is hard to keep that up front( for me) when a goal may be something that may seem a given for someone else? There are days( and I am sure I am not just speaking for myself) where it would be so easy to "fall into" just giving up, on things. With that said, I know I won't/can't. I wish everyone the best & Good Luck on winning this piece. Sometimes Hope & Faith are all I or anyone else has, at any given moment. I so much enjoy or need? to read all the comments. Misty you have an amazing "group" of people who follow your Art. And it goes further than your art. Your pieces show parts of you!

Elijah, I read your comment this morning, and I was so moved by your kindness, and inspiring words. Yes, "hope" is what we all depend on, and for me personally it is what powers my faith. I think we would be just void of life without it! I wished I could tell you that I thought of all those things when I made this, but Honestly I think it was mostly a kitschy word, so I used it! Thank you so much for reminding all of us that when all seems lost there is always "hope."....hugs!

Well, Misty I am sure that Dawn & I could figure out a way to visit you regularly, at the "big house" LOL. But they probably would consider acrylics as contraband? Maybe a chocolate Bunny! Haha!

Simone, Thank you my friend! I collect pieces from everywhere! My garage has bins full of junk parts, and scrap wood I have accumulated. I love old wood, like you I see so much potential in it. Also we did a major renovation to my home, and it is about a hundred years old, so I got a lot of stuff then.

I tried to respond last night from my phone, but it would not go through. Yeah, that is my avatar, because hubby is supposed to take me there(AFAM)this summer.and it represents my passion and interest. No, I could never get a piece of my work in there,as that is reserved for the "elite". But I guess there is no harm in me aiming high...lol

Well, my friend..the Flowers that you & your daughter make are just tres cool! lol. Remind me of larger aluminum Crayola's! Had you not said PINK!(My Monitor, omg) shoes it as Red, BUT, I could see the distressed Pink, in the back of the 2nd pic.(so funny how things look so different from one monitor to the next) Of course, I ADORE IT:) HOPE..sometimes is all we/I have at any given moment. Hard to describe how it feels to click on your username & see a new piece of your Artwork to look at & have an opportunity to own on Listia. How fortunate we are:) As you probably know, I like things that are "a bit on the quirky side") I find this one absolutely charming & the word, HOPE....a feeling & one powerful word. Thanks for listing this piece, and each one you ever have! Going to put in a "starting bid."

Hope, yes it means so very much to me these days! I know we can all relate to that word! Like right now, I "hope" I did not just advertise on Dawns auction....lol!!!!
