I am *CELEBRATING* the conversion of credits to INK.

... a wonderful upgrade for LIstia!

You don't have to change ANYTHING ...
➜ sell your stuff on LIstia ...
➜ buy what you love, but
➜ SAVE some of your INK and ~I believe~ you will be able to buy a new phone, computer, or maybe even a refrigerator! From a ~reliable~ seller.

Why?
INK is a currency with real value. With INK, it is *worth it* for sellers to list higher-value items.

Someone sent me a private message with a question. I don’t mind that but I’d prefer if you post comments on my listings. That way everyone can read the answers.
☺️
The question was: should I convert my credits right away?
My advice is to convert any credits you have. Then as your listings end winning bidders can pay in credits OR ink. If you get any credits that way convert them too.

It doesn’t really matter if you convert your credits right away because Listia will hold the same price for credit conversions into the future.

But ink is simply more valuable than credits. Going forward prices will change on Listia based on the value of ink. So it will be better to have ink to spend.

Does anyone know how to convert credits to ink using the APP?
☘️ ☘️ ☘️
I can't figure it out and I'm getting a LOT of people asking me. I converted credits to ink using the web page ... drop down from your ID in the top right-hand corner, where it shows your credit balance. That was easy to figure out but I can't find it on the app.

HELP!

If you are only using the app it appears you can't convert your credits to INK. If you have a computer log into the LIstia web site and then use the drop-down menu from your account photo/icon in the upper left corner.

On your phone you will have to open a web page, log into your account, and do the same thing ...

I gotta take Grandma to Sam's club so I'll be off line for a while. I've posted this question on my auction listings ending in the next two days so check there to see if anyone else responds.

To be honest, some of the above answers are even confusing to me but I have one question that I don't see answered and I guess it is one of the most basic questions of all and that is, "How do you transfer your existing credits to INK?" Or maybe I need to ask, "Where do I need to go to find out about INK in general?" Thanks so much.

Please keep sharing all you are learning. I have not had time to explore everything going on with Listia. Apparently it’s LOT and I am learning too.

I welcome everyone’s comments and opinions ~good and bad~ and will check back in later today. I’m the meantime keep watching other people’s comments.

Personally I think selling on Listia could be vastly improved. Because we are dealing with a real currency with a specific $$$ value. Unlike credits. Which were essentially worthless.

However Listia will become more competitive also. I think this will make Listia a lot like eBay used to be before they shut down the messaging system there. I was a huge ebay seller but when I could no longer use my sparkling personality as a marketing tool it stopped working for me.

That is why I have always liked Listia but the reality is that Listia can’t be used for serious selling-until now- because you could not cash out in any meaningful way. You can’t pay the rent with gift cards.

So if you like selling and are good at it Listia could be much more useful than it was. If you just want to swap stuff from around your house you can do that too but shipping costs kill most people who are selling things of little value.

Maybe Listia/ink will expand into more local swap/selling. Yard sale kind of stuff that you can pick up instead of ship. Ink is intended to be used with almost any sort of transaction. Online or otherwise. It’s a lot to think about but could be be very rewarding if you can utilize it.

I agree. I plan to step back and evaluate selling on Listia for sure. So I think that is a very normal reaction.

Yeah....I think I'm done here as a seller, I'm not at all interested in cryptocurrency, or trading for cryptocurrency, or watching stock prices or any of that bull......wish I could still sell my credits for cold hard cash in my guaranteed PayPal account & buy what I want, when I want, everywhere PayPal is accepted, which is nearly everywhere :) I certainly feel like my selling days here on Listia are through :(
Feb 28th, 2018 at 12:07:10 PM PST by
Original
You don’t have to. I’m only posting that info for people who are interested. You can keep using Listia just like you always have!

But most sellers have an interest in cashing out some of their ink if only to pay for shipping. It is a lot easier than I thought it would be and eventually Listia will make it easy to do that via the Ink wallet.

So it will be a transition with better days to come. Change is hard but for the most part you can keep using Listia just as we always have!

☄ WOW it's here! ☄
➜ Exchanged my credits to INK.
➜ Sent some INK to MEW.
FEE is 1.1 XNK regardless of how much you send. So I suggest you send a tiny amount first (maybe like 10 INK), be sure your wallet gets it (might take a few hours today, things are NUTS on the blockchain). After that, send as much as you can at one time. You pay 1.1 INK if you send 10 INK or 10,000.

➜ ➜ ➜The first step is to add the XNK token to your MEW. THEN you can send INK/XNK to MEW.

The token address is available on the New Currency links ... I don't want to post it here because Listia might change it (like they do with web sites posted in comments). You gotta get the contract address for yourself.
☘️ ☘️ ☘️
➜ I also got set up on IDEX to exchange INK for ETH but I'm waiting. I was actually tempted to buy XNK on IDEX but I gotta slow my roll ...lots of presale buyers are dumping INK right now so the price is only at about 10 cents. I think it will go up. I'm waiting.
➜ I can cash out at any time by sending XNK (from MEW) to IDEX and trading it for ETH. Then send the ETH to my coinbase wallet. IDEX fees are MUCH higher however. Again, the more you send at one time the lower the fee you pay as a percentage.

Voila!
⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️
I'm using ➜ bituniverse app on my phone and that's an easy way to see the $$$ value of INK ... on idex (computer only) it shows the ETH value of INK ... haven't figured out yet if I can change that to dollars ... a bit confusing but MUCH easier than I imagined!

☺ I'm pretty danged pumped.☺
☘️ ☘️ ☘️
If you jump in BE CAREFUL.
If you are watching the value of XNK on an exchange be AWARE of whether that is in ETH or dollars. I think it will MOST COMMONLY be in ETH. That's why I like the bituniverse app, just for watching the value of XNK in dollars.

⚡️ ☘️ ⚡️ ~INK happens at 9 am EST Wednesday! ~ ⚡️ ☘️ ⚡️
➜ Everyone on Listia will get an INK wallet.
You can convert your credits unless you BOUGHT those credits from Listia. You CAN spend those credits on Listia until they are gone. You cannot buy any more credits. All transactions will be in INK.

Your wallet will show
➜ credits,
➜ Earned INK and
➜ INK available ONLY to spend on LIstia. This will include ink rewarded or gifted by LIstia, for example for"listing five listings today. "

If you plan to send some of your INK to an ether wallet, the INK contract address is available at this link:
https://medium.com/@PayWithInk/xnk-token-distribution-and-ink-protocol-smart-contract-f8ba3da1e985

Add this contract to your MEW (or other ether wallet) and you should be able to send INK there tomorrow. I do NOT yet know how to exchange INK for other crypto/cash.

➜ Remember Ink on LIstia is XNK on the exchanges.
You are adding a smart contract for XNK.
➜ Do NOT add a contract for a currency called "INK" on the exchanges ... it is different.
➜ You want XNK.
☄ ☄ ☄
DO NOT SEND XNK/ INK to coinbase ...
it will be GONE FOREVER and cannot be recovered!
☄ ☄ ☄
WOW ... I am SO excited and nervous ... anyone else out there want to SHARE my jitters???

Feb. 28 is the day Listia’s currency converts from credits to INK.

☘️ DO NOT RUN away!

If you win listings after Feb. 28 you can pay with
~ credits
~ INK
~ or a combination!
❤️
I am celebrating!
☺ Why? ☺
Ink is a wonderful upgrade for LIstia!

You don't have to change ANYTHING ... keep
➜ selling the stuff you usually sell on LIstia ...
➜ buy what you love, but try to
➜ SAVE some of your INK and ~I believe~ you will be able to buy ~on Listia~ things like a new phone, computer, small appliance or maybe even a refrigerator!
⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️
The HUGE benefit on Listia is that, unlike credits, INK represents a currency that trades on the open market (INK will trade as XNK). XNK COULD increase in value, possibly a LOT, in the opening days and months.

➜ I am PUMPED ... now YOU and I can earn "real" currency on Listia instead of credits!
⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️
Here on Listia,
➜ You do NOT have to convert your credits to INK. You can still spend them as credits. However, all future listings will end in INK.
➜ You don't have to worry about the price of INK on the exchanges, because.
➜ credits will convert at the SAME price "for the duration of the conversion” according to Listia.
➜ I STRONGLY suggest you convert all your credits to INK. Ink could go UP in value. Credits never will.
☘️
Start thinking in INK ... this can get you started:

3,850 credits = 1 INK
100,000 credits = 25.97 INK
150,000 = 38.96 INK
200,000 = 51.95 INK
300,000 = 77.92 INK
400,000 = 103.90 INK
500,000 = 129.87 INK
600,000 = 155.84 INK
700,000 = 181.82 INK
800,000 = 207.80 INK
900,000 = 233.77 INK

I hope that helps!

➜ Let's get this party started!

☄️Only FOUR more days to ink! ☄️
The “Ask Me Anything” on YouTube was good and addressed a lot of Listia issues. Mostly because I sent in a bunch of questions about it in advance.

Will we still have the GIN only feature once INK is implemented? Will we still have the option to earn free INK by completing offers?
Feb 21st, 2018 at 5:54:06 PM PST by
Original
I believe so ... I don't think Listia is going to change the structure of the site. They have nearly a THIRD of all INK set aside to distribute at various vesting times ... 3 months to three years, I think ... I don't know all the details.

I think the FEE structure will change ... like GIN fees. But I don't think the way Listia works for listings buying/selling and incentive credits will change much.

INK has a SPECIFIC LIMITED number of coins. No more can be created. On the 28th only about 25 percent is being released. The other 75 percent has to be held for up to three years so the private investors (who hold all that INK) can't dump it all on the market when it's high and drive the price down. The private investors include the LIstia owners who have said they plan to continue to offer incentives paid in INK. That is my understanding.

That INK also is being used for incentives for software developers ... and lots of other things. INK will be used far and wide outside of Listia for all sorts of online buying/selling. So the vast majority of INK will NOT reside in the LIstia system.

But the point is, Listia has a LOT of INK to continue to offer as "freebies" for being active. To new members ... "list five items for XXX INK today ..." etc. They might even offer new incentives, who knows?

It's too late tonight and I getta get INK OFF my brain for a few hours ... but these are questions we can ask at the AMA tomorrow. Honestly I think they will cover a lot of this stuff without being asked specifically. I plan to spend some time tomorrow sending them questions to address during the AMA ... I can do that in advance of the AMA.

So if you think of anything else ... post most comments and I'll check them out in the morning!

I completely agree with you.. sometimes it's not worth it to let auctions ride out because you don't even get enough credits to cover the cost of shipping, but I never know what to set the GIN at.
Feb 21st, 2018 at 5:52:15 PM PST by
Original
I think it will be easier with INK to set prices. INK will have a specific dollar value. It will fluctuate like all cyypto does, but my guess is that it will settle into a steady range value and will be predictable to some extent ... although it might fluctuate wildly in the first few weeks or months.

On Listia, everyone who converts credits will get at least their initial ink (converted from credits) at a STEADY price. It won't fluctuate for credit conversion purposes, even if you WAIT to convert your credits. This is what Listia has said.

HOWEVE if you BUY INK from Listia (like we buy credits now) you WILL pay the market price. So it will probably always be better to EARN ink on LIstia, as opposed to buying it from them. So, some people's ink will be more expensive than other people's ink ... you gotta be SMART about what you buy and sell so you are not overpaying ... it will be challenging if INK prices are jumping all over the place. But on LIstia everyone will own INK at the SAME price on day one ... and however long it takes to convert all the old credits.

I can't keep paying $3 or more for shipping if I don't get enough credits to justiry it ... that's my problem with auctions. However, I feel more confident now that decent items WILL earn their keep, listed as auctions.

I'm breaking some VERY long-held habits on LIstia ... it's tough on the old lady ...

These are the MOST valuable auctions I've done in a while. I've been sticking to GIN listings for the most part because shipping can get SO expensive, and LIstia has been so stale that auctions often didn't go high enough to justify paying the shipping.

NOW I have a whole new attitude. Just today I was looking at new beads and findings to possibly list here. I HOPE we can list nicer, higher-value items on Listia now that INK represents REAL money and potentially REAL profits.

I think it will be interesting, challenging, fun and MORE ... SEVEN days to INK ... almost down to SIX days!

Woo Hoo!

➜ INK Countdown: EIGHT days!

On/after Feb. 28, all listings will be priced in INK.
You can convert your credits to INK ... or you can keep your credits and spend them. Once your credits are spent, any added credits you earn will be paid to you in INK. And all listings will be priced in INK.

I recommend you convert your credits to INK ... this will be much easier in the long run. Keep in mind that you ~CANNOT~ convert any credits you buy from Listia. After Feb. 28 you CANNOT buy credits from Listia!

You CAN buy INK from LIstia but it will be priced at the MARKET price. Exchanging credits is most likely the LEAST expensive way to have INK to spend on Listia.
❤️
Maybe this will help ...
INK to credits chart

1 INK = 3,850 credits
2 INK = 7,700
3 INK = 11,550
4 INK = 15,400
5 INK = 19,250
6 INK = 23,100
7 INK = 26,950
8 INK = 30,800
9 INK = 24,650
10 INK = 38,500 credits
50 INK = 192,500 credits
100 INK = 385,000 credits
☘️ ☘️ ☘️
You are MORE than welcome to SHARE this on your listings!

I plan to post conversion charts on all of my listings for a while ... so any time you NEED to refer to a chart, search "natahoa" to see what I have listed.
