Thanks for stopping by!
I have forgotten so much of what I once knew...are they still considered appaloosa if the 'spots' are all over and not just on the rump? One of my favorite horses...no, that's not true...they're all my favorite!!!! LOL

I got my name from my dad it`s a nickname that has stuck with me even today. When I was riding a horse all you would see is dust, s my dad said their goes Dustie.
On Appaloosa, they can have spots all over , even look solid white with dark spots in the skin which these are tiger appaloosa`s, blanket apps, are most common , most high dollar are the black with white blankets on rump with black spots. Then their are the ones who carry the genes just not the spots or blankets.
And a true appaloosa has a short tail not long one.
The blanket blacks are my favorite but love all horses.I rescue horses also and all other animals too. This is why I use listia to give away things to raise the credits up for them. But normally only get things when they are posted for them.

How wonderful! You are doing what I wish I could...what's the most unusual animal you have rescued?

Baby gator is the most unusual , his mother was killed and I found him in my pool in my back yard, which I lived near a swamp then. When he grew bigger I could even swim with him in our pond. But , after Katrina hit, I do not know what become of him.
Hoping one day I can return to live out the rest of my days in my home town , Timberline, LA, south of New Orleans. I am already 55, so need to get on the ball of saving money to move back home with all my fur babies and rescues.

That is so exciting and scary!!! LOL
I will hope and pray that you realize that dream to its fullest, very soon and there are no more 'Katrinas!' More people need to care about the creatures we share this planet with, because we depend on them for our own survival much more than we know...and also just because we SHOULD care! I'm getting off my soapbox now! LOL You take care and God bless...

Yes if we as the human race don`t stop and think about God`s animals or other living and breathing creatures ,stop killing them, many have already gone and never will return, many more will be gone forever. And our grand-kids; kids will only know of them in books.Loved talking to you.
