On/after Feb. 28, all listings will be priced in INK.
You can convert your credits to INK ... or you can keep your credits and spend them. Once your credits are spent, any added credits you earn will be paid to you in INK. And all listings will be priced in INK.

I recommend you convert your credits to INK ... this will be much easier in the long run. Keep in mind that you ~CANNOT~ convert any credits you buy from Listia. After Feb. 28 you CANNOT buy credits from Listia!

You CAN buy INK from LIstia but it will be priced at the MARKET price. Exchanging credits is most likely the LEAST expensive way to have INK to spend on Listia.

No it is 14 cents. The most important thing to remember is that 3,850 credits equal 1 ink. Listia considers 3,850 to equal 14 cents.

The value ink on the exchanges will probably change as soon as it hits the exchanges. My guess is that it will go up. But Listia plans to convert credits at the SAME rate regardless of the publicly traded value.

Credits can be converted at the same price (3,850=1 ink) forever. However if you BUY ink from Listia (like we buy credits now) you will pay the MARKET rate. Which will probably cost more than converting credits.

Is that what you are getting at? Does that help?

The question was: should I convert my credits right away?
My advice is to convert any credits you have. Then as your listings end winning bidders can pay in credits OR ink. If you get any credits that way convert them too.

It doesn’t really matter if you convert your credits right away because Listia will hold the same price for credit conversions into the future.

But ink is simply more valuable than credits. Going forward prices will change on Listia based on the value of ink. So it will be better to have ink to spend.

➜ Sent some INK to MEW.
FEE is 1.1 XNK regardless of how much you send. So I suggest you send a tiny amount first (maybe like 10 INK), be sure your wallet gets it (might take a few hours today, things are NUTS on the blockchain). After that, send as much as you can at one time. You pay 1.1 INK if you send 10 INK or 10,000.

➜ ➜ ➜The first step is to add the XNK token to your MEW. THEN you can send INK/XNK to MEW.

The token address is available on the New Currency links ... I don't want to post it here because Listia might change it (like they do with web sites posted in comments). You gotta get the contract address for yourself.

➜ I also got set up on IDEX to exchange INK for ETH but I'm waiting. I was actually tempted to buy XNK on IDEX but I gotta slow my roll ...lots of presale buyers are dumping INK right now so the price is only at about 10 cents. I think it will go up. I'm waiting.
➜ I can cash out at any time by sending XNK (from MEW) to IDEX and trading it for ETH. Then send the ETH to my coinbase wallet. IDEX fees are MUCH higher however. Again, the more you send at one time the lower the fee you pay as a percentage.

If you are watching the value of XNK on an exchange be AWARE of whether that is in ETH or dollars. I think it will MOST COMMONLY be in ETH. That's why I like the bituniverse app for watching the value of XNK in $$$ dollars.

I can't figure it out and I'm getting a LOT of people asking me. I converted credits to ink using the web page ... drop down from your ID in the top right-hand corner, where it shows your credit balance. That was easy to figure out but I can't find it on the app.

I received a letter from Listia Moderator telling me that my credit transferred into ink cannot not be transferred to cash into my Paypal account. So, that really bumbed me out. I have to use it on their site. :( Looks like I may have to shut down after all my auction ends.

➜ Listia is allowing us to CASH OUT credits ... NOT ink ... via the credit-selling system. I did that with some of my credits on Wednesday. Then yesterday that system was DOWN ... so I thought that was OVER but last night it was UP again. So if you still have credits you haven't converted to INK you CAN "sell" them on LIstia and they will pay you out IMMEDIATELY. HOWEVER you are paying a 20 percent FEE to LIstia. Which is awful ... but your choice.

To cash out INK ...
➜ You have to MOVE ink to an ether wallet such as My Ether Wallet (MEW). This is easy to do and costs 1.1 INK no matter how much you send to your MEW. MEW is a WEB SITE ... NOT an app. You must use it on a browser.
➜ Then you SELL INK (XNK) on an exchange, apparently IDEX is the only exchange for the moment. You send your XNK there and sell/exchange it for ETH, BTC or LTC.
➜ Then you move THAT into something like coinbase which makes it very easy to cash out to your bank. If you use coinbase I wouldn't send to paypal ... coinbase is having problems with paypal transactions lately. Moving it to your bank is very easy although it might take a few days to a week ~ not sure, I haven't done that.

Listia has said that, eventually, the Ink app WILL let people convert INK to cash. But that may not happen for a long time ... it isn't gonna happen next month or next week. Maybe next year ... I hope sooner but I have no idea.

HOWEVER, that will MOST LIKELY be much more expensive than cashing out INK via the exchanges. If you want to cash out INK, set up your MEW and get comfortable with that system.
➜ It's not rocket science. NOT difficult OR expensive, but please go slow and be sure to SECURE your MEW with the security protocols recommended on the MEW web site (I use MetaMask ... very very easy).

Go to "sell credits" and you can sell them just the same as in the past. They will sell immediately. However if you cash out less than $20 you can't send them to PayPal. I made that mistake and submitted a support ticket and Listia released them fast but it was a bother to have to do that n

Remember you are paying Listia a 20'percent fee to do that. That is a lot.

This morning that "sell credits" link ~IS~ working on my computer ... not sure about the app. For some reason that function WAS NOT working all day Thursday, then it came back Thursday night. So check again this morning ... maybe it was down for a while like it was Thursday.

Yesterday Listia did go down for a short while, which it hasn't done since the INK conversion ... but came back quickly. I've been surprised Listia is as stable as it is ... they are doing a good job managing the load I believe! But it doesn't surprise me that "sell credits" and possibly other functions might not be working for periods of time.

That is VERY expensive. I understand if you need some cash for shipping, etc., but IMO you are MUCH better off converting your credits to INK.

Ink is waffling on the exchanges for the moment but I do believe ~in my heart~ that INK will be a good investment both on and off Listia. Once INK values begin to rise you will have INK in your Listia account that you only paid 14 cents for. If/when INK is worth, say 20 cents, you can buy things on LIstia at a discount because you paid less for your INK when you converted your credits.

I am following the chatter about the exchanges and value of INK. It is NOT a good time to sell INK (XNK) but it is a very good time to BUY and a lot of people are doing that. Plus XNK is only available on ONE exchange ... when it is available on more exchanges XNK will be more realistically priced.

However, this pattern of buying XNK low should drive the price up in the next few weeks, I believe.

➜ ON LIstia ... don't give up on INK ... keep selling and earning it and keep some in the "bank" for the future!

Thanks for the info. I found the link, it was located in a different place on my website. I haven't decided yet as to what I want to do, but this is my only source of income until summer comes, where I can go back to work doing my seasonal job as a Lifeguard. If I cash in my credits, I will get a lot of money right away and granted, I know they get 20%, but like everything else in life, nothing is free. If I transfer over to INK, I was told that I can't get cash in at all and it can only be used to buy things on Listia or other sites that will eventually accept INK as payment. It's conflicting, because I have customers and myself included, not sure how much to place their bids in XNK format. They don't know how much it's worth and etc. At least with credits, they know what it's worth because it's divided by 27,500. I'm trying to be hopeful and will give it a month to see if it's going to be worth it in the long run. I've already listed a few things using the XNK format, but no one is placing their bids with the exception of 1 at 19.99 XNK. My question is, how can I explain to my customers how much that is worth? They should have it listed to let us know what it's worth, but they're only doing it with the GIN option. If I can get a better understanding of that, then maybe I can explain it in my ad how it works when I start listing things. Seems like so many people are now backing out and it's scary. If my listing only sells for just 19.99 XNK, then I'm going to lose ALOT of money that way. Don't get me wrong, you've been a big help and I thank you. :) I just feel like they're making it harder for our customers to buy anything on here because of the XNK format. I've already know of a few people that closed their account because of it. Like I said, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. :)

Yup it's a problem. If cashing is best for you it might be best to do that now while the offer is still open. I had no idea Listia would be doing this and I have no idea if it will last forever.

It will be difficult to cash out ink for a while. I plan to try it but the market is too low and it's just smarter to wait.

You also can cash out buying BTC ETH or LTC on Listia but most if those listings are highway robbery. I list ETH at a fair price and it sells in hours generally. I don't have any listed now. And I can't afford to keep buying it for Listia. I was hoping to trade ink for ETH but that isn't happening for the moment.

If you look at my ETH complete listings (feedback) they explain how to set up a coin base account that lets you cash out. It really is easy. But that is only for the big three cryptos. Ink will never be on coin base.
