Description

The listing, Intricate Detailed Round Wooden Trinket Box EUC has ended.

Hello Everyone!! Now that we've switched to XNK format, I will give you an example of how this works. I start all my bids off at 19.99. If you want to know what that's worth, multiply that by the market rate of 0.14 cents , which comes to $2.80. Another example is this, let's just say that the most you would pay for this auction is $10.00. All you have to do is divide $10.00 by 0.14 cents and it comes to 71.43 after the round off. That's what you would type in the bidding section. See how easy that was? Of course, it would help to have a calculator on hand. :)

Every Saturday, I will list 7 unique items. The auction will last 21 days and there's no GIN as I want this to be a fair and fun auction for everyone. Once the items are paid, it will be shipped on Monday afternoon. It's free shipping within the USA.

What you see in the photos is exactly what you're getting. It's 1 5/8 inches high ~ 3 1/8 inches wide & is EUC~ Excellent Used Condition. Please look over photos.

Just to comment on your above statement about converting your credits to Ink, I actually had just under 1 Million when I went to do it, and I ended up with exactly 258.50 Ink! But I felt so ripped off really! Haha!

But it just didn't seem like it was enough! Truthfully, before converting it, I didn't even calculate or try to estimate how much I was going to get, so I was completely in the dark! But still, I saw that I only had 258 Ink and some change, I felt like it just didn't add up still for some reason! And as I was saying, felt like I was ripped off and still owed more! Haha!

Furthermore, now that it's kind of put into perspective that this whole Ink Currency is actual money I guess you could say, it seems as if everyone on here is so afraid to actually Bid proper amounts!

Which is totally dumbfounding, because in reality, hasn't it always been actual money basically? Haha!

Got both of your messages and I hear you loud and clear. Had you sold your credits for cash, they would have taken 20% of their cut, since you converted it over to ink, they didn't take any percentages. You're right, it is real money to begin with. Sadly, I've sold my first item using the XNK format and only got 36.36 for it. I've lost out on this one and made no profit at all. It's almost as if I gave the item away for free. If it continues to be like this, I may have to shut down Listia. I did say I would give it a month, but it doesn't look too good now.

A lot of the risk to seller could be easily managed by a more realistic balance between the max fee-free starting bid (19.99) and the listing fee of 1XNK. It really rakes a bite out of the sellers who want to protect themselves from losing money by setting a higher starting bid.

Anyway, this is a lovely box and certainly worth paying for. Watching.

As much as I want to start a higher starting bid, they also take 10% of the fees if it sells besides the 1 XNK. Whereas, if I stick with the free starting bid, I'll get all of the XNK associated with the sell and no fees would be taken out. Besides, I have tried selling in the past with a higher starting bid and no one bothered to place a bid and had to be relisted. Let's face it, the majority of the people on here wants everything for as low as they can get it. lol

Thanks again for your help!!! you know better than me, so i am not sure how 71.43 = $10.00 ? , is there not something about to divide 3,850 to get the dollar amount?
Mar 21st, 2018 at 9:03:12 AM PDT by

When I listed this up, the market rate at the time for this was 0.14 cents per ink. So, 71.43 X 0.14 = 10.00 The 3850 is only used when your transferring your credits over to ink. So, if you had a million credits and wish to convert it over to ink, you divide that by 3850 and they will give you 259.74 ink.

Also is there any tags or stickers on the bottom of the box, like maybe celtic, or if you have any info like that, :)
Mar 21st, 2018 at 9:04:56 AM PDT by
Original
No, there are no tags or sticker. I believe this is a one of a kind item, because I can see a small dot in the middle where they were using the wood lathe.

Thank you for both of your reply's,very helpful, i talked a little to listia and they said they took the 0.14 off their ui, for it was causing confusion? and the 0.40 & 0.50. was not really correct for that was based on just a few buyers and sellers off the top? and they are working on getting back to the o.14 with some adjustments that will be going up and down? that may make more sense to you than me. no need to reply,i thought i would just pass it along. as for now i am spending mine.

Yeah, they removed it because it was confusing too many people. Right now, the market rate is 0.09 cents instead of 0.14 cents. If you wish to find out the Market rate, click on List Item, scroll down and click the GIN box and it will tell you what the going rate is. I don't mind responding back, that's what I'm here for. :)

My experience has been 100% the same. I completely agree that XNK conversion is losing sellers money / credits in a big way. I’ve been barely able to break even if I’m lucky, on items that were extremely popular and sold for a lot before the conversion. As a result, and to avoid charging shipping, I’ve been forced to change my price range in a way that’s ultimately an inconvenience to both buyers or sellers. So far the conversion has had no advantages and a lot of drawbacks.

Then we both can share the frustration. It's not even conducive to continue listing on here. Majority of the people on here refuses to pay for shipping and when someone ask for a GIN, they want it super cheap. I'm not even breaking even at all anymore, I'm losing a lot of money. I'm all for changes, but I fear this XNK change was a mistake. Only time will tell. :)

You always have great items up for bid, but even before this xnk stuff Listia raised the value of the credits so when it was at 499 most people did start that low, Back then a bid of 2,000 was a great win! I miss those good ole days. In those days you could bid a 499 bid and actually win. Nowadays your lucky if you can even win a bid under 100,000 credits. Even worse now with XNK. I never used to have to buy credits to win something, then when the credit value flew up I could not win anything so I had to buy credits to add to my listing credits to win something. I could go broke with all the credits I bought over the last 2 years or so. I wish it went back, way back to other other way when I started in 2013 I used to LOVE and be addicted to Listia! I think I better go back to my imaginary farm game of Farmville (which I was addicted to as well) but I didn't have to pay to play and I didn't have to go broke like the so called "free auction site" it was somewhat free back then but it NO LONGER IF FREE ANYMORE!
