Damn! Bidders are going crazy for a rule 5 pick that just got sent back to the minors. I like Slamtander but this bidding is to rich for me. Good luck to everyone.

It's early in his career. I don't think he has even had 150 at bats yet. This is a cool looking card, limited and autographed. It's an auction, people bid when they see something they like.

Agreed it's a nice card & a good investment if Slamtander pans out. Go O's!

Yup, when I see Ohtani cards going higher than vintage Mantles, it makes me shake my head. Some of these other guys might be safer bets.

Sports cards in general are a stock market. 4 years ago I couldn't even give away a signed Jake Arrieta ROMLB, meanwhile fans were going crazy for Chris Davis auto's, cards, etc.

I have been collecting since 1971. Have seen many interesting things happen in the hobby. When big money people started getting involved, things went from collecting to investing. Throughout it all, I have never forgotten to collect what I like, irregardless of what somebody tells me it's worth. If I like it, it makes me smile. For me, it's about my connection to the sport, not my connection to my bank account.

Agreed, Ive been collecting Nick Markakis cards, game used items for nothing. Now in 2018 he's having a career year at the age of 34 & everyone is overcharging since the season started. No thanks!

He's been a solid player throughout his career, and also very good defensively. May end up with 3000 hits if he stays healthy.

Ok so where do you find out what the exchange currency is? Like, how much XNK is $20.00?
