Up for auction is a brand new big bald baby doll she is in a Purple Heart onesie and has a blanket to swaddle her in eyes opens and close when laid down and picked up. (she is about 20 inches long)

I am not sure but I worked at a dept store, in the fabric dept. We used to sell dolls like these, UNSTUFFED. The idea was for bazaars and craft shows to stuff and make clothes and sell them. We used to have a few people who came in and would buy a couple dozen a couple times a year. They were 'generic' and were made for the crafter to display baby doll clothes. I did a demonstration showing how easy it was to stuff, whip stitch, done. Cabbage patch clothes patterns fit the doll if you didn't over stuff.
There is different density filling you could use. The super soft was real floppy but nice. If you wanted a more firm doll you chose the big box stuffing.
It is rare to find these dolls since Ames closed their doors
