TELEMETRY RECEIVER Made by AVM and is used for tracking radio frequencies in the 148 band range. I don't really know why I bought this, I guess it was just another gadget to add to my collection. It uses C Batteries and any BNC mount antenna that can handle the 148 MHZ range. This beauty look almost new as you can tell from the photos .

Yes but the old school is nice to have around, just in case you want to do modifications to it. And Cell's are not available in a whole lot of wild areas.

It reminds me of the movie Cliffhanger when Sylvester Stallone put a tracking device on a rabbit and the bad guy couldn't shoot it no matter how many times he used the tracking device.
