dotpease: I ran across some yarn yesterday at Walmart that I like and purchased at the same time I bought a digital scale. Just to see if it were accurate. I weigh several things I had bought. meat came out ok, as did several other things. But yarn purchase never did reach the amount quoted on the label always short. Would state 8 oz but register 7.6 oz on scale. Every skein I bought registered that way. It seems the yarn companies are taking the buying public for a ride.
