Description

The listing, Creature Card #21 Gouache Edition. Original Artwork by Rhonda Chase (ATC ACEO) has ended.

This auction is for Creature Card #21 in the Gouache Edition.

PLEASE READ!! <I'm going to try things a little different this month and maybe next. I'm going to draw and ink in the design and try to post the drawing with the auction start at 6:15 or shortly after. That evening when the kids are asleep I'll paint the card before bed and post the finished image the next day. For the first few hours of the auction (if a drawing is posted) I will take suggestions on how to color the creature.>

The Painting will be finished the day of the posting. This card is the standard regulation size of 3.5" x 2.5" or 2.5" x 3.5" respectively. It is done in Gouache (an opaque watercolor like paint) on quality watercolor paper. You receive the original work of art and not a copy. These cards are mailed in an acid free top loader for their protection and for your display should you choose not to frame the work.

My goal with this project is to spread art around the globe and what better place then here, at what better price then free! I will attempt to make and post a new card every day for the whole year!

I encourage the winning bidder to give the creature a name if they like :) (and any other information about the character such as gender, scale and any other defining attributes they choose)

I retain the copy write to the image. At the end of the year all the images and stories will be compiled into a book!

I have a bachelors degree in art, am internationally recognized and have shown in a museum (just to name a few things.) My resume is available upon request.

Thanks for looking! I appreciate your comments and your time. I always fan back :)

I was just going to update the picture but your bid beat me to it :( That is okay lol. Oh this would go well with your other bird :) It reminds me of an owl. I think so far if I could win a card it would be this one.

I'm very much more pleased with this in color in quite a dramatic form. I was actually inspired by your post to get the color picture taken early today :)

would have been interesting in greens... :) I see insect now that you mention it. I love how they could become completely different creatures depending on how they are colored. You know it's a lot of pressure really. I appreciate when people participate. Makes that pressure feel shared lol :P

Now it reminds me of Garuda a mythical bird/creature that is in both Hindu and Buddhist, golden brown body with the white/black crown like shape on his head. lol Love this stuff to much but that's why I love your creatures its like you bring mythical creatures to life when I see the in your art. Will have to think of what one of the Garuda would be up to from all the mixed books I have read about. (Buddhist believe in many bird like creatures while Hindu believe he just the one)

It almost looks like an owl mated with an ant. I would think like a barn owl head and wings with a giant ant-like body and legs, but with owl claws too. Haha I think too much. xD

It looks like an animal on mars that has just discovered the rover, and got his picture taken as he leaned in to check it out. great!

Oh that would make sense of the dramatic overcrop. I think your story concept is a fun one.
