Description

The listing, 15 Organic Bhut Jolokia Pepper Seeds + Extras! has ended.

This listing is for 15 Bhut Jolokia Seeds. These peppers are EXTREMELY HOT, expensive and super hard to find, so why not grow your own?

Please Please Please be careful with handling these seeds as they are in the top 2 Hottest Peppers in the world! So wash your hands after touching. You are warned.

The peppers that these seeds will be coming from were grown all organic & I will be including (emailed) instructions for container and non-container growing of your pepper plants. I will also be including (for free) another type of peppers' seeds as extras AND a famous (in my house anyways) recipe that I use for an EASY, DELICIOUS AND FIERY HOT SAUCE. MMM

Questions and comments are more than welcome!

Yes, It's such a hot pepper that I normally have to use 12-15 SCOTCH BONNET peppers (Already a high 350,000 Units on the Scoville Scale on its own) to make my hot sauce recipe, but the first time I made the same exact recipe replacing the Scotch Bonnets with Bhut Jolokia's, I only had to use 3 and 1/2 Peppers & it was HOTTER than the Scotch Bonnet version, Crazy right?

I also want to add that if you're good at growing hot peppers of any type (Not that it's particularly difficult)) , these particular peppers sell (the actual fresh peppers, not the seeds) sell on ebay for as much as 10 DOLLARS per OUNCE. AND Look at this here listing where SMALL SINGLE STARTER Bhut Jolokia plants are being sold for over 17$ EACH

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bhut-Jolokia-Naga-Ghost-Chilli-Pepper-Live-Plant-2-6-inch-tall-/221010085549?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item33753a46ad

That person has sold 80 plants at that price and I can tell you right now that it takes VERY little effort to grow ANY pepper plant to that height. They're probably about 8 weeks old TOPS (FROM SEED). Considering that person has to pay eBay fees + shipping out of that 17$, 9x80 is 720$ AFTER shipping+fees just from selling peppers! So just saying, Growing Bhut Jolokias' can be a profitable hobby as well, if you want to make it one! Or you could just give them away here on listia!

Also known as the "ghost pepper". We have 2 plants growing in the garden now but ours are the smooth pepper. Are the peppers grown as pictured?

Great question! Yes, I tried to find the pic online that depicted a pepper that looks as close to the plants the seeds came from as possible. Honestly I didn't know there was a smoother type. Ive only seen wrinklyish ones. Would take a photo, but my ipod, which was the only camera we have, went out of business recently. Before I started growing my plants myself, I made a purchase of one ounce of fresh peppers on eBay for 7$. And from that purchase I saved some seeds and started growing the plants from those. The peppers the seeds on this listing will be coming from my peppers, that came from my plants. I have 3 of them myself although I use my peppers mostly for homemade hot sauce that we sometimes give as gifts. I think I might try the scorpion pepper next ( which has recently bipassed even the ghost pepper on the scoville scale)... They make up the most appropriate names for the top hottest peppers, don't you think? Lol
