The only Indian Head pennies with a mint mark were the 1908s and the 1909s. The rest had no mint mark.

There were only 2 mints for Indian head pennies I believe, Philadelphia which wouldn't have a mark and San Francisco which would have been an ,s, located under the wreath on the back of the coin.

Hi: this indian penny is in "great" shape as in deep inprints/minting? so it shows up great with hardly no wear / rub off of print! saying that! i dont think on these pennies there is a (p or d) on them. "so very sorry" i cant tell you, unless there is another way you can tell me what to look for as in telling me where it was minted. i go by, p) philedaphia ?? or d) denver ?? again i am no coin genius, but if you know a way "please" let me know and i will do it for you! thank you!

1945 mercury dime
f-12=$2.25
vf-20=$2.50
ef-40=$2.50
ms-63=$12.00
ms-65=$28.00--------------------------vg-8 (very good)=well worn with main features clear and bold, although rather flat markings
F-(fine)= moderate to considarable even wear. the entire design is bold with overall pleasing appearance
EF-(extremely Fine)=light wear on the design throughout, but all features are sharp and well defined, traces of luster may show
MS-(mint state)= The term mint state and uncirculated are interchangeable and refer to coins showing no trace of wear. Such coins vary slightly due to minor surface imperfection, as in the following
PU= perfect uncirculated=(ms-70)
GU= Gem uncirculated=(MS-65)
CU= Choice uncirculated=(ms-63)
U= Uncirculated=(ms-60)
all coins are graded on a scale from 2-70-----70 being the most desirable coin out their with no marks or anything consisting of being in the hands of a human at all (perfect coin to have) hope this helps robbinsdart talk later buddy

im sorry update to my previous comment
the first year featured a laurel wreath on the reverse, this was changed after one to the oak wreath with a small shield. Coins of 1859 and early 1860 show a pointed bust. those made from late 1860-1864 have a more rounded bust. Prior to the issuance of nickle five cent pieces in 1866, these coins were popularly referred to as nickles or nicks later they were called white cents and yes they do not bear a mint mark in those years until later years

Victor D Brenner designed this cent, which was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of abraham lincoin birth, the designer initials vdb appear on the reverse of a limited quanity of cents of 1909 the initials were restored in 1918 to the obverse side of lincoins shoulder matte proof coins were made for collectors from 1909 to 1916 and an fomominal speciman of 1917 is reportadly exist and can fetch as much as 1,000,000,000 dollars to the bearer of this coin cause their is only one, i have collected coins for 18 years and know my coins quiet well thankyou and hope this works for ya and to the comment of mint marks they exist all the way to todays marks except for s meaning san francisco thanks again and have a blessed day hope this helps
