This listing is for a very inexpensive but still high rated guitar on Amazon. It gets a 4.4 rating over 800+ reviews. Fakespot.com and ReviewMeta do not dock the rating meaning most of the reviews are genuine.

According to this article, the action on Jasmine guitars is a bit high, but as far as I understand it, you can get a music shop or your local guitar expert to adjust the truss rod and/or file the bottom of the bridge down: http://www.strumviews.com/jasmine-guitars.

High action means it's harder to press the strings down to make a chord, which can be frustrating for a beginner or especially a child beginner. Too low action, on the other hand, makes the string buzz on the frets.

As mentioned this can be easily adjusted and probably adjustable by most guitar teachers. (Another method for overcoming high action I believe is to get light strings. The issue with them is they break more easily.) From what I can tell, these guitars despite the high action are a great value and play at the level of guitars twice or 3 times as expensive.

I played guitars for years but had fat fingers, so my chords were not well-formed. There are wide-neck guitars for people like me, but they are costly. One way around this is to buy a classical guitar. If you would like me to get a classical guitar from Jasmine in the same price range, just message me. The negative of classical guitars is the association with classical music, a less crisp sound than that we usually associate with folk and rock and I believe they are not as loud if the player needs to give a recital.
