I JUST purchased this last weekend and placing it up for Listia to enjoy. Please enlarge the photos to see the exact details of the card. Thank you for watching and good luck to all those bidding. Tags; Hall Of Fame, Baltimore Orioles, Hand Signed, Signature
From the same card dealer I have dealt with for over 6 years now. He has a lot of them all in different grades. Here in Detroit we have some abundance of hometown cards but not all in Near Mint unless you really want to pay. This is the real thing. I have another myself.
In 1996 he was inducted into the Baltimore Orioles Hall Of Fame. I had to search Wikipedia myself for it. Thank you for asking the question so I could find the correct answer for it. I hope that this helps you out.
Oh my apologies I thought I was answering for the Al Kaline, but yet the answer is still the same, same dealer I've dealt with for years, I'm not sure where he purchases from but he looks his items over thoroughly before purchasing, he's about 68-70 years old, he's been doing it awhile
No. I bought it as-is. I've been going to the same dealer for over 6-8 years. He has tons of stuff in his home that he brings to his booth every other week. He recently inherited his business partners 1/2 of the business after his partner passed so now he also sell coins along with the cards & other collectibles. He has A LOT of autographs, some I can afford and others I only dream of having some day.
i can tell right off the Autograph is close however not a total match to Cal Sr. if you go on google and look up his Signature you will see the R is right the line under Cal is right but the end of the name does not match to how he ends his last name.
I'm not an expert on signatures but the seller I buy from has been buying & selling for years. He does extensive research before he purchases an item and sells it. He obtain his cards from various sources so I can't say where he got it from. But he's always sold real autographs and let's me know when someone slipped a fake autograph into a deal.
he may not have noticed it but i did ....again only being honest here anyone can look it up on google and see the end of the name doesn't match up a Graded card of his with his auto on it that he hand signed
I saw a few of them and I see what you mean by the end but I also saw some matching the ending (looking more like an 'S' in my opinion) that were graded and certified as well. I'm guessing that (like a few players) their name may have slight variations depending on age and mood. I actually saw 1 almost identical to this 1 PSA certified except it's in blue marker instead of black.
