Powerful Royal Arms Design by Timothy Noad
The obverse bears Jody Clark's right-side effigy of reigning British monarch Queen Elizabeth II. Clark shows the leader wearing her Royal Diamond Diadem, the same crown that she wore at her coronation. Rim inscriptions read, "2 POUNDS" and "ELIZABETH II D G REG F D" (Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith).
The current Royal Arms features on Timothy Noad's reverse design. A symbol of England, a lion, and a symbol of Scotland, a unicorn, emerge from behind a crowned shield. The shield has four quadrants, two of which have symbols of England, three lions, one of which has a symbol of Scotland, a lion rampant, and the other of which bears a harp, which represents Ireland. Inscriptions above and below the image read, "2019" and "1 OZ FINE SILVER 999," respectively.
