the income tax and computer maintenance overhead comes out of your profit... but okay... from what you are saying, if you account for fluctuations on XNK, it is not only you, it is also the buyers who are experiencing the same issues here... and moving of your funds to and from listia also comes out of your profit... I did not say NET profit. But okay, I understand you... thank you for explaining thoroughly... :) as for me, I do this as hobby, so I never calculated -- and I bet I am losing a lot of money in the process... (I think if I knew how much I am losing, I might not be listing anymore... so better not to know...) :D
I took the not to know attitude too until I realized I needed to pay taxes, so every year I calculate it all. I agree my prices are a little high but I feel more comfortable with them now. There are others who sell Amazon cards for lower at times. I whole heartedly endorse them. I hope they are not losing money. If you want to watch the real value of XNK, not the one Listia sells for, follow it here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ink-protocol/trading_exchanges
By the way, lots of people negotiate lower prices with me and I'm willing to do that, so that lowers the profit too.
Great auction i am withdrawing some XNK and already going on like 1.5 days. Last time i withdraw it was like 24 hours and now its even longer. The time frame seems like it is getting longer and longer before it use to withdrawal about 8 hours and now it could take over a day frustrated.
One of them look like it is transferring over. I thought listia put a hold on my account for some reason but i guess not. This time frame is ridiculous.
99,308.00 - 9,931 (Listia takes 10% for GIN) = 89,377 (how much I get) 89,377 * $0.00109735 (how much one XNK is worth) = $98.08
However, I sell for $0.001025 if I want to make a fast trade because the general trend of XNK is, of course, down, and trying to predict upticks in the market is an overall losing strategy. So 89,377 * 0.001025 = $91.61
From that gross profit: are wallet fees from transferring XNK to Bibox.com; trading fees converting XNK to Bitcoin; and withdrawal fees for moving Bitcoin to Coinbase Pro (which can be up $5, so I have to wait until I have $200 in the account. In the meantime BTC can lose value). There also fees to convert BTC to dollars on Coinbase Pro and to deduct dollars from my Coinbase account to my bank. I also have to pay overhead on buying and maintaining a decent computer. I have to pay income tax on my gains as well.
I will be lucky to make $5-10 profit. There are many times because of the decline in XNK value that I have lost money on trades. I also have to make up for those negative trades too. I made about $3000 last year on all my Listia trades, of which there were about two a day. That's about $5 per trade, and I sell a lot of big-ticket items. I am not price gouging!
There are currently lower price vendors here on Listia, I admit. Feel free to use them :)! They may not yet know they are losing money until they do a full accounting at tax time.
yes the wait is cracy I think i almost have 1 million XNK bet i have more than anyone on this site lol. Seem like i own like 1/500 of the total supply.
