Seems Christians should be kind, love and show mercy to those who say bad things and that they are told to look for opportunities to do so, not shun them. From what I am reading it says only then will you be like God the Father and show people you are different than those who only tolerate people who treat them well... am I am misreading it?

Yes I am glad it was received. It seems real harsh for a Christian to block people and write messages in all caps, when we are admonished to treat those who are not kind, with love. Glad you took that to heart, we are always watched and are to live a life worth of the Name He has established for us to demonstrate in Him. ;-D
