Yes, this is a sample of genuine, shredded US currency....
It is from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. As it explains on the (shown) package, although the Federal Reserve does not print money, it does destroy worn out currency. Every day the FRB of SF shreds tens of millions of dollars of worn out bills!
I don't remember where I got this. But I imagine that the FRB gives these out as souvenirs when group tours come to see the facilities.
NOTE: This is a legal auction; PLEASE do not flag this. This is not currency that could be used.
Actually I had planned on using this in an art project, but am now (once again) thinning down my possessions. This is great as a conversation piece, for crafts, or even as a stocking stuffer for someone that would find this interesting. Happy Bidding!!!
