These are brand new and still have the little white plastic tab that keeps the dial from making contact with battery.

To set time and start battery, simply remove the white plastic dial tab, turn dial to correct time, and push dial in til it clicks and locks in place!

Approximately how big are the faces on these?

Hi, the ladies' watch face is 3/4" high x 5/8" wide, and the mens' watch face is 1" high x 7/8" wide. They are a nice, modest size- not too big like some you see nowadays, but not too small, either. Let me know if you want me to take a pic of them on wrists lol.. just to get a better idea of size when wearing. :)
