*To those who are wondering, this is NOT an OFFICIAL Apple Brand product. I have no way to know that for sure as it looks and works exactly the same as the cord my iPod Touch came with brand new, but I'm ASSUMING that if it were direct from Apple, It would cost at least $10 or more and I do not pay that much for it. I put the word "Apple" in the description for search purposes. So my answer to the people asking if this is an official Apple Brand product is NO, It's generic. But I assure you that the functionality and cosmetics of this generic product and the one that comes brand new with apple products is just the same. There is one little issue with it (which of course I will describe on the listing) is that when you plug it in to charge or sync, the USB plugin has to go into the iPod a little sideways and carefully to charge or sync, so you can't use it while it's charging because once you get it in the position to register, if it's moved you'll have to re-adjust it again. It's no huge issue as I've been using it like that for months and I'm not too annoyed by it, its likely just a misplacement of a pin in where you connect it, it still keeps a good charge and works perfectly. I just think thats something that I should thoroughly describe to any interested person.

Anyway I'll be putting a pretty low (in my opinion) gin to the listing too that will probably also include a 10$ iTunes gift card and it'll probably be either 5 or 7 days long so just want you to be aware of that.

No it's a 3rd gen...But I've had a 4th gen so can honestly say that it's pretty much the same thing except without the cameras that the 4th gen has. And the 4th gen is just a TAD bit thinner, but if you don't mind those two differences then the 3rd gen will be just right for you. I will let you know, thanks.

Also just wanted to let you know that the only reason I haven't listed it yet is because my new desktop doesn't have a mouse or keyboard, I had to order one from amazon and they took like a week just to ship it out >.<....so won't be able to use my comp till Wednesday so the iPod is my little computer until then LOL..works great as that actually considering how small it is haha .could list the iPod from the iPod itself as well since they have a listia app, but I want to make 100% sure I'll be able to give something away before I list it.

Also I want to add that sometimes with the problems with charging/syncing involving having to bend or keep the USB a certain way for it to work, it's not ALWAYS the USB cord that is the issue, sometimes it can be the pins inside of the device itself that aren't aligned the way they're supposed to be. My iPod is sort of the same way and I too thought it was the USB at first, until I got a new USB and and was the same way. So make sure that it's your USB that's the issue but not the device itself because then a new USB cord won't help you at all.

Well I just hope that it's the USB cord but it probably is because if u look at it it's all bender up and I looks like some of it is litteraly inside the thing that sticks out of the charger so I NEED THIS CHARGER!!!!!
