Description

The listing, Set of Two Cotton Machine Sewn Face Masks has ended.

NOTE: NEW STYLE. ALL OF THE PLEATED ONES WERE DONATED TO FRONT LINE WORKERS YESTERDAY. Random fabric. Well constructed by myself. If you have a color preference let me know and I will try to accommodate, but I've got limited choices available at this time. Durable, washable double layer 100% cotton contour mask with elastic ear loops and sewn compartment for a wire or twist tie which can be molded over the bridge of the nose for a more secure fit. Wire should be removed for laundering. This style also has a pocket between the two cotton layers for insertion of an additional filter material of your choice. Facial tissue, paper towel or flannel fabric are options you might have at home. One size.

Recommended to minimize exposure of others to your aerosolized breath droplets. CDC now is recommending all Americans wear a facial covering when leaving their homes for essential errands as another measure to help control the spread of the Covid 19 Virus. Also helps discourage face touching! No medical guarantees made or implied. Should be laundered with detergent before wearing (obviously they've been handled by me quite a bit) and after every wearing. Tumble dry or lay flat. Press with warm iron for best results. No need for super hot wash or dry because the soap is what kills the virus.

We are a smoke-free household with one dog.

All LISTIA RULES APPLY. I LISTIA friendly and HONEST - please do the same.

Please move on if you’ve ever claimed an item did not arrive in order to try to get it without paying. LISTIA will look into the history of your dealings.

I don't understand why everyone always says that about shipping. Sellers are supposed to cover the cost of shipping not buyers. I never charge my buyers for shipping. I just charge what I would for the item. I covet all shipping out of my pocket.

Again, thanks for your perspective. I've been on here for over 6 years. I've tried both charging shipping fees and offering free shipping. I have an etsy shop and I ship orders almost daily, so I'm quite familiar with the costs of shipping and how it all works. I would not attempt to ship one of these masks in a letter sized envelope with two first class stamps. It would be way too thick to qualify as a letter, would be torn and would be returned for postage due anyway. I've been on the receiving end of many items I've bought on LiSTIA that arrive in a letter damaged. It's a risk I'm not going to take. As I said, I'm very familiar with USPS guidelines and costs. I participate in LISTIA in hopes of acquiring things I need or items for my etsy shop and because I enjoy the social aspect here. You'll see that I have all positive feedback. Etsy has very recently begun pressuring sellers to offer free shipping, so I've finally given in and have started doing so, by adjusting pricing upwards to help cover that cost. I'm totally ok with some people thinking my LISTIA prices are high. I offer very high quality in goods and service. I wish you the best and hope you and yours remain healthy and safe.

Thanks! I'm making masks for donation to various local groups, grocery workers etc and thought I'd offer a few here as well.

Don't you think 40,000 is a little too much for only 2 masks? If you want to help people be reasonable on your prices. Why try t9 take advantage of people during a crisis? And please don't tell me about shipping ok. It takes 1 or 2 stamps to mail in a regular envelope. If you mail usps it's 3.82. I know I send packages all the time. :(

Thanks for your sharing your perspective. Today's exchange value for one US dollar = 3323 XNK, so that's 12 bucks. Subtract 4 bucks for shipping and the price of this is equivalent to 8 bucks for two masks so just $4 bucks each. These are very well made, washable and reusable. You should check the prices on etsy. The only other similar mask I see on LISTIA is a GIN for 25,000 for one mask. I've made and donated scores of these locally in my community to front line workers. I would be willing to lower the XNK for paid shipping but I'm not donating these here.

Do they have an adjustable nose piece like a wire inside?
Apr 8th, 2020 at 5:29:34 PM PDT by

They don't. I do have another more fitted style that I've been sewing that does have both the nose wire and a pocket for a filter material to be added. I'm thinking of listing some of those as well. They are a bit more involved to sew though. I might list some of those on my etsy shop as well. Are you interested in one with a nose piece? In the styles I'm making the slot for the nose wire is accessible so that the wire can be removed for laundering.

On behalf of us in the medical field- A HUGE THANK YOU FOR MAKING These!!! We need them and your asking Price is MORE THAN FAIR.....
Sadly, user PORI unnecessarily posts on Sellers auctions about cost and/or XNK - Its a sort of bully tactic this person has done on Several auctions which baffles me because if you don't like a listing - Move on. No need to be negative by trying to compliment & then totally bash the seller .
You are FREE to offer what you like - CONSIDERING MOST PEOPLE MAKING MASK ARE SELLING THEM FOR $10 and up AND THIS IS A ITEM IN SUCH Need! Maybe because Pori has never worked in the medical field, but as a Nurse- I see an auction like this and I'm like WOW - THANK U for even offering it **FREE** here for a lousy 45,000 Credits- Oh wait, 2 of them Nonetheless!!
Anyway - Rant over: GREAT LISTING! Please disregard any demeaning comments, they are Unproductive.

I am on the opposite end-don't have a sewing machine or sew (nor free time) but have TONS of material so may start offering material on here or my other sites-thanks for giving me the great ideas!!

That's a fabulous idea!!!! I'm running out of fabric at this point! I'm using a bed sheet for some masks I'm donating. The sheeting material if a tight weave in 100% cotton, is ideal. Good luck!
