While there are many different opinions on what a "rookie card" is, it is my belief, if a player is rookie status when the card is issued, it is clearly a rookie card. I wasn't claiming it is his first card ever. The price I ask reflects this.

His Major League debut was on May 29th, 1995. This is ALSO a rookie card, since Jeter was still a "rookie"

I have been collecting and selling cards since the 80s including running my own cards shop for years, even a price guide will tell you that that card is not a rookie and the value is not even close, but then you can claim whatever you like and there are always people who dont know better for you to take advantage of which is one of this site's many flaws. Guess I just choose not to be that type of seller, but to each his own.

I've been collecting and selling since 1968. Would you agree (like most Collectors) that a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle is his rookie card ? But wait, in 1951, there is also a Bowman Rookie ...
