Description
You are bidding on 5 Smokin Ed's Carolina Reaper Pepper Seeds. This is the new hottest pepper in the world, press release on 8-27-2012. These seeds come direct from Ed Currie himself, dont worry about crossbreeds these are not out of a garden, they come direct from the source, I just received these seeds on Saturday. I have about 5 extra seeds in the pack so im auctioning them off here on listia. Dont miss out this will be my only auction for these seeds, well unless it goes really high then I will order more just to auction off.

Here are the details on the Carolina Reaper Pepper:

"The NEW Worlds Hottest Champ as of the 8/27/12 Press Releases. It averaged 1,474,000 SCU"

The Story
========
Ed has conducted a 4 year testing period at the Winthrop University in SC to validate the scorching heat level. The HP22B is now a standardized and stable variety of Chile pepper being in it's 8th year of growing by Ed. WELCOME Carolina Reaper to the Worlds Champions and now the reigning King.

The Pepper
=========
One look at the Carolina Reapers Pod shape and you just know you have to have it. Because of the heat? No, because of the taste and flavor. Do we need a new Worlds Hottest? I think so. We have the Superbowl, World Series, Grammy and Oscar awards for new champs every year. The awesome thing is each one has a unique taste, nutritional profile, pod shape and plant growth. They are all different. The flavor of the HP22B is delightful. The Fruity and sweet/hot aroma hits you as soon as you cut it open. Then there is a hint of citrus and some say cinnamon. It is one delicious pepper. Relatively EZ to grow too.

The Value
========
There was a ton of time, effort and expense that went into the development of the Carolina Reaper. The great thing with this pepper is that a little goes a long way. a quarter pod will heat a pot of Chili or Spaghetti Sauce. A few dozen from one plant can last a year. Dry and freeze your HP22B's to enjoy for a long time.

just to let everyone know these seeds will be shipping in a bubble envelope to ensure a safe arrival. And coming soon watch for seeds from my own Caribbean Red Hot Peppers plants 460,000 SCU. I will auction off as many seeds as I can harvest from them when the peppers turn red, I have allot of green peppers still on the plants right now, but they're super hot, just tried one recently.

if they go above 3500 I will order another pack of these to auction off here on Listia which will mean at least 2 more auctions after this one. If this one goes below 3500 this will be my only auction for these until I get my own seed crop next yea. Good luck everyone.

How can you guarantee they are the seeds you say they are ?

Well many pepper seeds look the same when dry and these dont look much different, but im a active seller and I promise these are the real Carolina Reaper Seeds from Ed Curry himself (you can only order these seeds from 2 different places). You yourself can order the seeds right now they came out on 8-27-2012 to the public. My word is as good as I can give, I sell allot seeds and all seeds I sell are what I say they are, and these I will take very special care of due to high cost and low amount of seeds. I normally send in a regular envelope with bubble wrap around the seeds, but for this auction im sending in a yellow bubble mailer to ensure safety. I dont need to rip anyone off too get a few thousand credits, I got 90,000 credits here on listia right now just putting this auction out there to spread the word on these new hottest pepper seeds since im big fan of the super hots myself.

I dont think there will be many people offering these from plants due to how new they are yet, my advise get a seed starting kit with a humidity dome. Dont overwater your seeds and keep in mind they dont use much water until they sprout just keep them moist, use a spray bottle to water is what I do to be sure you dont overwater. And make sure it is warm (around 80 degrees is good) until the seeds sprout is very important. Light is important, if you dont have a nice sunny porch or large windowed room maybe get a small light for them like a florescent.
