Well my dad passed im going to find out it was moms engagement ring. She showed it to some jewler he said if its real could be about 25,000 it literally changes colors time of day light. Greens to purple

Yes they do change colors, but so do color changing sapphires.

Do you no alot about these my dad bought it for my mom 60 years ago. It changes colors. Heard they could be extremely valuable. It like 3.5 carrots . YOURS IS BEAUTIFUL

Yes I do know a lot about them I'm GIA certified.
Russian Alexandrites are very rare so the price is high, but Alexandrites have been found in other Countries, and there was a HUGE find in Brazil in 1987 so prices have dropped compared to Russian Alexandrites but they are still expensive.
