Description
The listing, The Quilter's Catalog, a Comprehensive Resource Guide has ended.
HUGE paperback! Great pre-loved shape! "The Quilter's Catalog" covers all of the information that a new (or experienced) quilter is likely to need. From the history of quilting, through the basic techniques, and on into the realm of quilt-art, this volume covers it all. There are also listings of Master Quilters, teachers of quilting, suppliers of specialized equipment, fabrics and more. To top it all, Meg Cox presents all of this information in a way which even a "non-quilter" can follow and enjoy (particularly the history of quilting). All-in-all, a good read packed with relevant information.
Questions & Comments
t is a nice, thick, quality book. But it's what inside that makes it superb. There is a wealth of information on just about everything you would want to know about quilting. One area that really surprised me was the author's information on websites - I thought I knew them all and she had a ton of sites I had never found (the listing of sites for African fabric was amazing!). The author's profiles of great teachers also make for great reading. She helps the reader understand the passion and need to create!
