The listing, Vintage Italian Anri Painted Hand Carved Wood Figurine has ended.

This listing is for a vintage Italian Anri Painted Hand Carved Wood Figurine of a Man smoking a pipe and leaning on an umbrella like a cane. He is standing in a typical Anri stance. He is in excellent condition. He measures 5 1/2" x 1 1/2". Nice details,Nice patina, all original , all untouched. Great looking decorative carving to add to any kind of collection. Piece of paper on the bottom from the original sticker that way there. I can't make out anything on it but I'm told they are somewhere between 1954-1967. If you are not familiar with Anri I recommend doing a Google search, as there is a very interesting history behind these charmingly crafted woodcarvings. Made in Italy., that's the info I got. I've seen them for as Little as 19.00 and as Much as 125.00

He's wearing a long coat,a tie, a shirt,,and a brimmed hat!
•He's smoking a pipe, and carrying an umbrella, and there's some kind of animal on the ground next to him.

Many such looking items were made in this period, also -- but were made of a composite, like Siricco (a wood compound with casting fluids). There is a certain unmistakable charm to these. Not quite an antique, which would usually mean that the item is 100 or more years old, but certainly, a fine vintage item! Great offer/auction!

Sorry, spelling has never been my forte -- let's try: SYROCO.
