Seeds were harvested from vine peach melons grown in my garden. No chemicals or pesticides used. This melon plant will vine up a trellis or along a fence. Produces a handful of melons per plant. Did very well even during the hot summer and is vine borer resistant. Seeds can be started indoors 3-4 weeks before your last frost date or direct sow in early spring when ground is warm.

Vine peach melons are best used as a cooking melon in preserves or pies combined with another fruit like apples, pears, peaches or berries for example. When cooked with another fruit, the melon will take on the flavor of the other fruit. Its a great addition to help stretch fruit in recipes.

These melons have a very pleasant fragance smell when cut open and tastes like an mild unsweet melon. They are the size of a tennis ball. The outer skin is alittle fuzzy like a peach and is easily peeled with a potato peeler. The inside has thick white flesh that can be cut up into chucks and added into recipes like raisin bread.
